Brutally Honest review: Cait's Audi S1

- SO its been a while since I've done a video with Cat (previously known as ThatFezGal) and today we have her back on the channel! This is my first Audi S car review I have done surprisingly, and we kick it off with her Audi S1!

I’d say it’s a good idea getting the springs over coilovers with the adaptive suspension! Hopefully it turns out a good choice 👀😂 see you again when I come back up!xx

Prefer a DSG in an S Audi? Yes, the DSG is one of the best auto boxes out there, but still a manual 6 speed is more engaging for a drivers car.
But an S Audi is never an engaging drivers car, I'm a manual guy, but with VAG cars, dsg suits them
Glad you liked the S1 I own one myself all the draw backs of the interior are down to the spec I have all of the options ticked on mine and its a lovely place to be still not the most moderns considering its age but I love the analogue dials, these cars are such a good platform I have KV V3's on mine and stage 1 with full bolt ons and its a completely different car to drive

Interesting rival thoughts. First thing that comes to mind for me is the polo or golf GTi. Same car different badge, am I right? Edit crap i forgot about the AWD setup.
Will say normally I expect a massive hater from lee to most cars but seeing him not hate on this is a good feeling,

Cracking little cars, shame they’re just so expensive. Actually looked at one before I got my 208 GTi. The AWD was obviously the USP but it would have been interesting if they had released it in FWD only with 230bhp. Happy New Year to you both.
It’s a fun little car guys 👍 technology wise I can take it or leave it! Personal preference really.As long as it has a good quality interior and exterior and it’s quick that’s it for me..You May loose power going though the drive chain with AWD cars but you gain the power because of no lose of traction on launch 😊

What is the turbo sound like? I had an A1 and it had a little turbo sound 'whistle' which I really enjoyed. Wondering if the S1 has something similar, but hopefully maybe a little louder?
Nice car Cait, always liked these S1's.
I assume the battery is in the boot as there is a 2litre engine under the tiny bonnet and so a battery won't fit.
my pd170 is pretty dam nippy for a tug boat, has she got stretched tires on it ?

Needs to have both performance packs for better seats, flat bottom steering lowering springs wheel.etc etc.. loved my S1 when I had it

The reason the door sounds like that on closing is probably due to the channel that the window goes up and down on is loose and needs tightening

Like S1’s but you can get so much better for a couple grand more. Like Lee said, looks like any other A1 but with quad exhaust.
Depends if it’s got mag ride as to if suspension changes

John i been driving 35 years add a lot of fast car..but 5min test drive I bought 1...make me laugh everytime I drive it..
My girlfriend sold hers just a few months ago, that was running 320bhp, I’m not gonna act like it was the fastest thing in the world but fuck me it could move for a little Audi, had a DSG golf R neck on neck down a dual carriageway, should’ve seen his face at the next red light 😂

the miraculous reappearing micra
Doesn't have DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control). Only DCC cars have a comfort option. Dynamic only sharpens ups throttle response and stiffens steering. Deceptive though

Remap it and wake it up. The turbo is very underboosted as standard. 300-310bhp no problem with the remap. Massive difference in an already fun fast car 😉

Bigger than a lancia delta integrale...the 5door s1...I've add porsche..sti v5 type r....gt4s...wanted something bit more newer..1st test drive i cud not believe how fast it was ...top car ..don't knock it till you tryd it lol. Ps don't let the figures fool you original a1 quattro 256bhp. 41k.... s1 231...but more torque and cheaper. And its got a old school handbrake.

2 years trouble free motoring years later still got it . 150kg lighter than s3 . It's a underdog a girls car a small car is there a RS1 all the comments I get until there a passenger then they want ONE.
