Wow! What a performance. The frontman is a natural performer. I never expected his vocals live to be anywhere near as good as the studio recording, but I definitely stand corrected!
The track celebrates the power of love and its potential to bring joy, happiness, and a feeling of freedom. The lyrics tell the story of two people beginning to explore their connection, feelings of passion and desire, and the excitement of the unknown. The narrator encourages his beloved to feel the power of love, and believes in its capacity to bring them together and keep them rocking 'til the sun goes down. The song is thus an uplifting ode to the beauty of falling in love and its transformative power.
Saw these guys at a small venue right before the corona outbreak in 2020. Justin stood on his hands during the intro of the sang and clapped his feet together for several minutes. Sounded just as good as here and that fucking stage presence. Amazing.
@Noah Wolf Its not his brother, it's a distant cousin, so distant that Taylor didnt know if they were related or not, but Justin had done the research. Justin is British, Taylor is American and grew up in Laguna Beach. Justins brother is named Danny and used to be in this band.
I never thought much of The Darkness until I saw them live at a festival, Rock on the Range (2012?). This guy blew me away. He is a true performer. You can tell he loves being a rock star. Changed my entire perception of their music.
Not gonna lie, never have I ever laughed so much at the fact that this amazing performer got the crowd so much in his hands that he just made everyone put up two thumbs... That's how you play an audience. Well done.
