Basic printer/all in one unit but nice that it uses the old style carts with the print heads built in like my old 990 does. The 990 did print photos nicely as well with a similar cart setup but it was only a printer, but it did that function very well and was auto everything and did double sided prints.

Great review. I do not want a printer that requires using a smart phone to set up. Ordered the Best Printers cleaning kit! You saved me some money. Will look for a different HP printer. This is not the one.

Just bought this printer, haven’t opened it yet, but so far i love the size of it, it can fit under my tv😍
did you do any tests with cardstock or sticker paper?
You can print with the usb wire not included but are cheap to buy. Comes with 6 month subscription of ink provided by hp + and a month of Hp paper subscription delivered to your door all is free and on top of that before you run out of ink you will have new ink as the printer tells them to send more and have a return envolope to send back the empty ink cartridges in part of there green pledge. After they will charge you the agreed up price for the chosen plan. The printer set up can be tricky for those who have zero computer skills other wise it is easy to set up after scanning the provided qr tag on the instrucrtions provided also just dowloading the app on your smart phones. The printer has a cool futuristic light glowing on the paper tray which can be too bright at night if in your room but you can simply push the power button behind it communicates perfectly with users if paper tray is open and does not give print errors that require erasing from the print list it understands that it should continue its job regardless of minor human errors and not requiring to go back and press print again. The printer has a physical touch pannel where the wifi displays its signals and one is able to cancel jobs or see if the printer is ready to print with numbers glowing in a count down. This printer has a fill in tray which helps avoiding paper jams like other printers that use back standing insert trays. You are also able to resize the tray to the size paper yoy are trying print so it can stay in place when printing for example printing on a index card. Photo copies and scanning also work great
This printer is exactly the size and color I wanted, but after spending 90 minutes with HP tech service, they can't figure out why my printer is making a high pitched chirping or how to make it stop. I discovered it's probably related to the lights. Is this the same for you, or is this a defect on my printer?
I need help to set a new wifi connection to the printer
Great video! Just got mine today and one thing I was struggling with is that, no matter on the APP or PC based HP SMART, it won't let me check the ink level, instead, it says "setup incomplete" and wants me to register for hp+ which I don't want to...wondering did you find a way to check the ink level?
That is interesting, try googling this one. I havent seen it before.

I am planning to turn off the printer after usage. When we print, the printer prints test pages before getting what is needed. Any suggestions? Should we check the settings on the phone, computer or printer?
That sounds like an unwanted settings default. Try checking the test page options in your settings.

Just a correction, I believe this printer is rated for up to 300gsm for paperweight so it actually can do cardstock up to that weight. I use it for printing tuck boxes for my various board game cards.

I just bought this printer and will be setting it up tomorrow. From watching your video I have no idea about the steps required to connect the printer to the wireless network. You didn't mention how to use the app to find the printer and steps to connect. I hope the app walks me clearly through those steps.
The app is self explanatory so you should have a problem connecting to wifi.
I am having a horrible time trying to figure out the internet connections. All I ever get is connect the device to the internet and I don't know how.

My printer turn off and I hit the power button and won’t turn on. Can you guide me. Do I have to hold power button or do I press any button? I have unplug it and plug it in order for printer to turn on
You shouldn't have any trouble powering on the printer if that's the case, you need to return it and get a new one
what would be a very similar printer to this that does not require a smartphone. it is for a senior citizen printing from a laptop or desktop on Windows 11...low volume, needs a screen on the printer...and easy access to the print cartridges, just like this printer. Thanks!!!!

Check the hp app on your computer/smartphone you might be able to see any errors there.

There is a way, you will need to google it though.
HP says this can do 80lb cardstock. Are you sure it can't?

You most likely can print on thinner card, but the thicker card stock most likely won't be able to process with this printer

Why only 50-100 pages per month?...is that instant Ink rule?...or the printer itself can only physically print 50-100 pages per month?

What if I have an android
First of all, the ink that came with it won't work. Says not an HP product. Won't let me print without buying a subscription. Won't connect to the internet. Solid amber error light with no explanation. That's just a few issues.

The reason I gave 4 stars for tech support (which I don't think this would classify as tech support) is because once you turn the printer on, it does require a little bit of start up time which may bother some who are in a hurry to quickly print something. To offset that though the printer prints very quickly. I would definitely purchase this printer again.

Why do apple fanboys ALWAYS insist on (proudly) interjecting their iphones into every single aspect of everything in the universe? In this case, the printer pretty much took a backseat to it for much of the review.
