You probably won't read this, but I bought this sissy squat because of your video and I couldn't be happier. I perform the exercise the same way as you and it gives me an awesome way to burn out my legs to complete and utter failure without taxing the lower back or knees. The product standing against the wall with the main pad removed takes up hardly any space, which is amazing for my small bedroom homegym. Finally a leg machine I can fit in my space and get quality volume out of! I owned a cheapo sissy squat machine and the ankle pads didn't extend far enough causing more stress on the knees. The difference is astounding. The Powertec sissy squat is very well thought out and worth every euro I've paid for it. Also, to give back a tip: you can also wear a weighted vest and still hold onto the bands for balance to increase resistance!
That is awesome to hear! Thank you so much for letting me know. I agree; the quality between this and other Sissy Squats is significant. Great to hear it works well for you and for your space.
Great vid! I always thought it was weird these are called sissy squats. When I hear s.s., I always think Vince G and Tom Platz. Wall ball hack squats with a curl bar (didnt have a barbell) were useful during the pandemic.

hi dear, i ask to the reseller here in Italy why they have increase the price of the leg press attachment on their site (they also write that the new 2024 attachment wiil be avaiable in march) they respond to me that will be a new version of the attachment that will be unilateral! Im curious now for this, i hope that they also increase weight capacity. Have you heard something also?
What current program are you using? Im doing a modified DC training (using exercises that fit with my body structure). Im curious if you have a review video or could list pros/cons of your DC training experience. Thanks!
I made a post, but never a video after my 6 Part DC Series. I found I can’t recover like I could when I was in my 30s. In my 20s and 30s, my Blast could last 10-12 weeks while constantly beating the log book. In my 40s, my most recent Blast lasted 7 weeks and I was really worn down. I’ll incorporate a Rest Pause set from time to time, but I usually stick to 1 work set to failure and 2-3 exercises for a body part (PPL).
good review and demo..Yeah that guy who got injured..I cant watch that NOPE...This isnt intended for heavy weights as you stated and its not meant for everyone. The use of bands like you demo is probably perfect. id also assume good for some rehab as well..Happy New Year!
The movement pattern seems similar to a pendulum squat (which claims to combine a hack squat and leg extension). If you have a pendulum squat, would this piece be redundant?
The pendulum offers more stability, easier to progressively overload, and more of a fixed movement pattern. If you really like variety in your training, I think they are different enough, but, of course, the Pendulum wins.

How is the quality control of Powertec? I bought a Sissy Squat from another company, but had to return it because it was so uneven and sloppy made.
