I can't thank you enough for your setup help M8. This is my first Grid game and I'm kind of lost on setups. I have asked other people that I race with for help but they don't seem to want to help to much. We race the Touring cars all the time so any help with those cars would be greatly appreciated. I only drive other cars in the racenet challenge. Once again thank you so much for helping me with the setups. Maybe one day I will be faster then my friends and they will ask me for help. Your welcome any time m8. It will work work all the touring cars if you need extra turning on them plus all the high powered cars like the hypercars, super modified etc etc. Some of the formula C, B & A cars I am not sure about as I run +80 suspension front and back on them with -20 or -30 brakes on the front but it's worth a try :-) The only 2 cars I never run front brakes on is the Mini's as on sweeping bend if you have to dab the brakes the back end will try and overtake the front. lol. Good luck m8 and if you have any cars you want me to go out in and have a look at the tune just say and I will have a look for you. Cheers m8.
Nice quick guide and great to see that Mad Mole is helping out with some setups! :-) I didn't know much about car physics, handling and tuning and it took some time to figure out the tuning in Grid Autosport for myself. This guide is surely a good starting point if you are a newbie or don't have the time to test-tune for yourself. I think you just need to find a setup that suits to your driving style. I run my CAT A 408 SCB like that: Brake: +40 Differential: -100 Downforce: -50 (depends on track) Gears: -30 (depends on track) Suspension front: +40 Suspension rear: +100

incuboy Cheers incuboy :-) I will be doing some more setups for a few more cars in the following weeks to hopefully help people that are new to the game on how to get a balanced all round setup for most cars Your right what you say though as it's down to what suits your own particular driving style. I like to run no downforce at all on most cars but the softer front springs have really helped me to improve my times quiet a lot lately. Mad Mole I usually start with a stiff suspension (both +100), differential -100, downforce -100. If I need more grip or if I need to fight understeer I add a small amount of downforce and soften the front suspension and change the brake bias slightly. I always end up with a softer front in comparison to the rear suspension. Gear ratio is the only thing I change depending on the track and I always try to go as short as possible (depending on longest straight).
Hi again John, the only set-ups that I still have pre loaded in the game on some tracks are for touring cars I am sorry to say as that was my favourite category. I am sorry I could not help further but I will see if I can work one out for you but I am out of practice lol.
Hi Rob, I haven't played Grid in year's but from what I can remember if you are not in professional settings like, braking off, manual gears on it won't let you change the tuning of the car. I hope this helps and sorry I couldn't be more specific.

i go into tuning and they dont allow me to switch anything. why? when do u go into tuneup?
