Um actually, there are many moons farther from the sun than Mars. Jupiter has many moons, and while it is understood that Sailor Moon refers to the Moon (Earth's moon), it can be conceived that any other moon would suffice. It is thus possible to think of one of Jupiter's moons being closer to the Sun than Jupiter, but farther than Mars.

Interesting note about Vulcans, that whole "We must be unemotional beings of pure logic and rationality" stuff? That's ENTIRELY cultural, as a backlash to how insanely driven and forceful their emotions tend to be. The problem was that every emotional response a vulcan would naturally have is shit tier and always makes everything worse, fallowing their gut would just lead to vulcans killing everything on sight and devolving into rage induced rants about upset they are when things don't go their way.
After one too many world wars of vulcans killing each other far too often, there was a cultural push to suppress their idiotic emotions and act only on pure logic as the basis for every decision, with draconian levels of strict enforcement and indoctrination to keep as many vulcans as possible acting in a civilized manner. What scares them about humans is that humans seem to have a wider range of USEFUL emotions, and obeying a gut instinct from a human consistently ends up with optimal outcomes based on limited knowledge. What should scare the humans meanwhile, is that a lot of humans see a vulcan and go out of their way to try and get that vulcan to be more emotional ...
Unaware of just how badly this would actually end.

    • @starlightsall
      @starlightsall 6 лет назад +4

Geographically Boromir did die "above" the falls, since they were at the higher point. But it sounds weird, as though they were fighting on the boats rather than on the ground, and were about to tumble down the Falls. So I agree with you, it'd be much better to say "near the Rauros Falls."
From Two Towers: "A mile, maybe, from Parth Galen in a little glade not far from the lake [Aragorn] found Boromir." So to be exact, he died near the western shore of Nen Hithoel.

Um Actually, The definition began to deviate from the original Greek meaning in the Medieval ages. It was never specified that it had to be the Greek mythological version of it or even that the chimera they wished was derived from Greek mythology. Due to how mythology is defined (vaguely, as a collection of myths where myth is a story) the beliefs of the many beasts is also a valid form of mythology. It should also be noted that the Greek Chimera had various forms and depictions even in its time, though they did not deviate too far from the most famous lion-goat-snake one we were shown.

Um, actually: Elysium is part of the Greek afterlife. The Romans stole that sh*t, just like most of the rest of their culture.
EDIT: While it's true that one could argue the Romans saw themselves as Trojans (if their founding myths are to be believed), and they shared the same religion as the Greeks, Elysium seems to be at least partially a Greek invention, and it's a Greek word, possibly from ἀλυουσας (ἀλύω, to be deeply stirred from joy), or ἀλύτως, a synonym of ἀφθάρτως (ἄφθαρτος, incorruptible). The Romans also called it Elysium, so, at the very least, the Romans took the word for that particular realm of the underworld.

Might be another language or some Latin grammar form I don't know though.
EDIT: Okay, I read into it and apparently it's based off the Aramaic phrase for "let the thing be destroyed", which was (according to JK Rowling) originally believed to cure illnesses, where the "thing" to be destroyed was the illness. Um Actually, "Kamehameha" and the Dragon Balls are not connected. I personally would argue that Kamehameha is not even a magic spell. In Dragon Ball Z they introduce magic users that have abilities different than the fighters that use the "Kamehameha" energy beam. The fighters are not viewed the same way as magic uses such as Bibidi, Badidi, and Master Roshi's sister Fortuneteller Baba. But back to the point, the Dragon Balls are not connected at all to "Kamehameha" in any way shape or form besides being two things that exist in this world. The Dragon Balls of Earth are used to summon the dragon Shenron and have no special phrases specifically necessary to summon him. Porunga the dragon summoned with the Dragon Balls of Namek DOES require a specific phrase, so if anything, the Dragon Balls should be associated with the phase required for summoning. The Namekian password required to summon Porunga is, according to the manga, "takkaraputo popurunga pupirittoparo" ---not Kamehameha.

Um, actually, by object associated they mean both it's associated in the use of the "spell" for spells with associated objects and associated to the series the "spell" is found in. Because the Kamehameha does not have a directly associated object the dragon balls are the only thing that can be used even though they aren't used for the Kamehameha. Also the Kamehameha is a type of magic, magic is the use of a form of energy, words, circles, objects, and more to cause a desired result. The Kamehameha uses a combination of energy (in the case of Dragon ball Chi/Ki) and words (sometimes optionally) to create an energy based attack. Because of this the Kamehameha falls into several magic categories being Spell Casting, Chi/Ki Magic, Chi/Ki Manipulation, and a few others. So the Kamehamaha is indeed a magic spell specifically it is primarily a Ki Magic and Ki Manipulation type spell primarily. And though you are correct in the phrase for summoning Porunga the use of the Kamehameha and the object Dragon Balls was never in reference to the summoning of the dragons but was all used for referencing the objects related to the spell through the series it is found in.

You could upgrade all of these old dials with digital ones, by charging the home or business owner for the material and time for upgrade, as well as the extra time required to relight pilot lights. That being said, how many people actually read gas meters and they don't work for a gas company? Would this time and money be worth it?

Um actually, the Kamehameha is originally from Dragon Ball. Although it is used in every Dragon Ball franchise including super, z, gt, and the original. Notable users include Krillin, Master Roshi, Goku, Gohan, Goten, Cell, Yamcha, and Tien.

um actually the original users were roshi, goku, grandpa gohan knows how to do it because roshi taught him, and ox king knew it but he forgot how to do it. tien learned after he saw goku do it in the world tourniment and krillin, yamcha, gohan, and goten all learned themselves after seeing it be done so many times. and cell doesnt count becausehe is a litter amalgamation of all the most powerful fighters who live or have come to earth before cell went back in time

Um, Actually "Kamehameha" isn't *from* Dragonball Z. It is from the Original Dragonball series and carries on to future series Z and Super (and.. GT too, sure you can join).

For the same reason, kamehameha is FROM the original dragonball, not Z.

Um actually Kamehameha is not a spell it's a Kai attack which is ones natural soul energy not magic. "Come forth almighty Shenron and Grant our wish" would be closer to spells since it awakens a magical being

Um actually, Ashitakas village wasn't really attacked, he was touched by the demon and banished before he turned. Also the lepers who were inventing the guns weren't in an attic they lived in a hut in Lady Eboshi's garden. And I 110% agree with Adam, these movies are more a spiritual experience than a talking point lol 😆😍

One really, really important detail is that they are NOT guns. In interviews, Hayao Miyazaki is emphatic on that point. He calls them cannons. What's the difference, I can't remember, but he's very pissed off when people call them guns.
