I always had a weird notion as a kid that the Jetsons and the Flintstones lived on the same world at the same time; it was like H.G. Wells Time Machine, the Jetson people lived up in the cloud cities with tech, and the primitive cavemen were left behind to grub in the dirt...
I subscribe to that theory as well, with the caveat that they're clouds of pollution not regular clouds. There are even scenes where the pollution catches up to the buildings so they have to raise the buildings again
Um actually, we do occasionally see the ground and the people down there and it's definitely not the Flintstones setting.
When y’all come back we need an episode of JUST Real Life Skills!
Um, actually, there are new episodes on Dropout, which is, beyond all reason, still a thing!
@@KingOfDoma really? I thought Trapp said the show was cancelled.
@@verbalfonders If he did, it's a recent development I can't find proof of. Last episode dropped a couple months ago
With one question about nerd stuff
@@KingOfDoma he did an interview with Medium in February where, although he didn’t say it outright, the fate of the show doesn’t look good amongst the layoffs within College Humor and spoke of development of home version of the game. I was misremembering the conversation between him and the interviewer and the outright talk of cancellation. I hope there’s new episodes still, but I’m not going to hold my breath
NATHAN
YAY NATHAN!!!
WOOHOO!!!! Nathan!!!!!
Haley may not have won the game.. But she won our hearts
Um, actually, in the defense of Xena, she learns telekinesis and energy projection from Lao Ma very early in season 3. That stuff wasn’t late in the show: the show was delightfully weird from the start.
xena needs no defending tho, its great and anyone who watched and has TASTE it can attest to that
Um actually, Nicholas Cage actually did end up playing (voicing) Superman in Teen Titans Go! to the Movies
He also voiced the black and white Spider-Man in Spider-Verse
this episode seems to be from early 2019, not sure if that changes anything though haha
@@lforlight Um, actually, his name is Spider-Man Noir.
@@alv90000 Uhm actually Into the Spiderverse is from 2018, it doen't change anything
@@cacklebarnacle15 It was most likely filmed prior to the release of Into the Spiderverse. If it aired in Jan 2019, it was probably filmed in the summer of 2018
Fun fact: the Pokémon Lombre is based off a Kappa
Um, actually, to be more specific, the entire Lotad/Lombre/Ludicolo line is based off a Kappa.
Did y'all kids forget about Golduck?
@@Skycania But Golduck doesn't have the head dish.
@@IceMetalPunk And Lombre is a quadraped. None of them are exactly a kappa. They wouldn't be a Pokémon if they were
@@chrismanuel9768 I mean, sure, but the lotus is like the defining characteristic of a kappa.
That pokemon shiny question was probably the easiest one of that type they’ve done.
um actually the real reason berserk isnt in shonen jump is that expecting a weekly chapter makes you the fucking emperor of optimism. im pretty sure delusions of that scale are enough evidence of madness to dodge prison for multiple homicides
Love that Nic Cage has now canonicaly been Superman thanks to The Flash.
It is fun to give an artist a drawing challenge. But if Nathan had had NO idea what a Kappa was, his very cool drawing of a horse with elephant feet would still have been incorrect. Not only was his drawing great, but an accurate answer to the question, as well! So double props to Nathan! Drawing and knowledge of Japanese mythological creatures!
My mom and I usually dominate at Pictionary, because we're the artists of the family. But if you don't know what some clue is, all the drawing ability in the world won't save you. If my dad or brother knows what something is, they can usually scribble out a recognizable version enough for a guess. Like Kirk did! He knew what he was about, and though his drawing skills may not have been super, they were adequate to the task.
Yay i was rooting for nathan. Bring him back for another show!
When I was a young child I had a VHS copy if 'The Flinstones Meet the Jetsons' and I loved it
I do appreciate the TaleSpin question. Takes me back.
8:36 the irony is that almost any wlw would fall head over heels for a lesbian with swords and snakes. I guess it's not as threatening when a woman has these things
exactly what i thuoght
Which is an unfortunate bias, since most guys with swords and snakes are just eccentric. Plus, a crazy lesbian can hurt you just as easily as a crazy man can if they have a sword.
Um, actually, the live action movie that Tale Spin was based on/inspired by was the 1939 Howard Hawks classic 'Only Angels Have Wings,' not 'Casablanca.'
Nathan is a nation treasure. Best Boi Nathan!
A Nathanal treasure?
@@muntox that, my friend, was a dad joke on the Nathanal level. Bravo.
Um Actually: There are two knights that accompany king Arthur that are not named in that sequence. They exclusively appear to be murdered by the killer rabbit.
I feel personally attacked. I got the swords as a gift and my bed doesn't have a headboard because the head of the bed is right up against a wall (and when I was building the bed frame I honestly forgot to design a headboard, my partner didn't seem to mind either. I can always go back in and add one later though so not all is lost)
I'm pretty sure headboards only exist so you have something to bang your head into, you're not missing much!
I don't have any swords but it's not because I don't want them... It just seems like it would be difficult to stop at just one and I don't want to start another collection.
24:43 - Um, actually, you said "On this sheet there are *_six_* things as a group" but there are clearly only *_FIVE_* things pictured on the sheet.
So proud of Nathan! Nice going, nerd!

Um, Actually, Hugh Jackman HAS played multiple superheroes. There's a scene in the original X-MEN where Mystique disguises herself as Logan, where she's played by Hugh Jackman. (Mystique's roles in the FIRST CLASS run of films in the X-verse make it pretty clear she at least sometimes counts as a hero rather than a straight-up villain.)
(34:35) Um, actually no bokoblin teeth are used to purchase the glowing skeleton suit. The radiant set is paid for in rupees and luminous stones. Even when upgrading the suit, no teeth are used, only the guts of various monsters and even more luminous stones.
Here after watching the Simpsons episode and knowing Kirk referred to sweet sweet Nathan Yaffe as “that artist guy” is hilarious to me. (Mostly because I assumed he meant Caldwell Tanner)
Haley put a little extra something in her coffee that morning I swear. She is at the point of nearly interrupting herself at some points just to get the words out. And she is extremely cute and funny of course.
The cursed image that popped into my head to represent a kappa was that reverse bimbofication meme where the girl picks up a book and turns brunette, but instead of a human girl it's a kappa girl and instead of turning brunette she dies because the water in her leaf falls out when she bends over cause that's how kappas die
So like normal stuff
Haley is absolutely right about the sword guys.
But why does she care whether he has swords or not? I didn't realize that people were so judgmental about guy's hobbies (and this comes from someone who doesn't even own a sword).
I'm glad they are reposting old episodes with ads! I hope we eventually get to see the musical theater episode...
I loved Tail Spin. Shir Khan as a corporate CEO was fantastic. But yeah, King Louie ran a bar for pilots on very small private island.
Um actually, it's spelled Shere.
Did they mention it took place in Cape Suzette? Honestly, that cartoon holds up. It’s still funny. (not hilarious, just well written)
@@FrankiePeanuts You know, I wanted to google that before I typed it, and I didn't, specifically because I knew if I get it wrong, someone gets the joy of correcting me!
1 point for FrankiePeanuts
27:33 that moment when you can't tell if Trapp is being sarcastic or if he actually knows that Vanillite exist
Um Actually, Marge does make Bart and Lisa give away the puppies but because the puppies get sad when they get separated, no one takes them until Mr. Burns steals them.
Aw heck yeah it’s Nathan
In before the future reveal: Longclaw was originally called Ice when Benjen stole it and Mormont had it rehilted into Longclaw. I will accept my point after the reveal in one of the last two books.
I love how the Lampshade Kangaroo has a Joey that also has a Lampshade
It's weird to hear Nathan's voice and not see stuff being drawn on the screen...uncanny, even. []
Um, actually, “I’ve got a really good feeling about this” is a quote from Star Wars. Han says it at the end of Solo. Not technically a statement from the game, but a fun bit of trivia worth correcting imo
People making fun of the key Pokemon forget that Gen 1 had a pile of eggs and a blob that evolved into a bigger blob
Kirk Damato saying the Pokémon franchise is twenty years old and me depressing myself thinking it's actually closer to thirty
In your defense the episode is a few years old so it was probably closer to twenty at that point haha
That joke about a soft serve ice cream pokemon that involves into scoops is even funnier in that he didn't realize that's totally an actual thing. Vanillite evolves into Vanillish
I think he knows, that was too specific to not know.
Best part, that was a fan-made pokemon that won a contest or something to be featured in a pokemon game.
Pretty sure he knows and that's why he said it.
Um, actually, the skill to work Valyrian Steel isn’t fully lost since the Doom (because, otherwise, Widow’s Wail and Oath Keeper couldn’t have been forged from Ice.
Also, you still should hone your blades even with magic super sharpness. Famously, Ned spends time doing this with Ice in the Winterfell Godswood, I would guess in Cat or Bran's first chapter and in the first episode.
The real question is: Did that guy who caught a pokemon for 50 dollars have 2 swords on his wall?
What do you think he needed that $50 for?
No. He evolved that shit to Aegislash.
Hey, if he wants two swords on his wall, I say more power to him. Why must we judge guys for their hobbies?
Wow I’ve never seen Nathan in person, only his voice and drawings from Drawfee. He is so much more reserved and timid in person!
The funniest scene in the 2 dozen and one greyhounds episode was at the end when you see what looks like Homer hanging himself in silhouette, but he was actually batting a lightbulb.
Um actually, Nicholas cage also played the role of "Spider Noir" in "Into the spider-verse"
How have I only now, only noticed everything on the shelves are SO MINDBLOWINGLY WRONG?!?! HOW?
I want a set tour!
My guess is that you are not very smart.
I don't know what you're talking about. That Capture Cube is perfect for catching all the Tapémon.
I only just noticed the D21 this episode, oh god I'm gonna have to check everything now
Trapp understand ms the sword guy thing because he works with one, Brennan.
I’m gonna start collecting swords and Haley can’t stop me
The Kappa also appears periodically throughout Final Fantasy VI (he appears identical to one of your character if you cast "imp" on them)
Um actually there was a TV show called "Sledge Hammer!" where eponymous main character had a very intimate relationship with his gun, and in some dubbed versions that gun has a name, like Compadre in a Mexican version and Susi in a German version.
I used to get it confused for Hunter because of the intros.
We're all sword snake no headboard guys. Some of us just find a long term partner before we reach our final form.
Uhm Actually, Klefki is one the best pokemon. The typing is good. the ability and moveset can be put on multiple teams. Klefki is the Ringer of my competetive team in multiple gen's
Competitive utility versus design philosophy. I could put googly eyes on a trash bag, slap on a 720 stat total, make it like fucking... Normal Ghost typing, and call it Garbgeist. Still a bad Pokémon all told
@@chrismanuel9768 I guarantee-- GUARANTEE-- that if you count the number of people who claim Klefki as their favorite Pokemon, it would outnumber the people who list Voltorb and Electrode as their favorite, COMBINED.
Pokemon has always had bad designs, it has nothing to do with the generation.
I'm glad the air was finally cleared on Urza not being a wizard.
