    🎸FAQs:
    Are you a full-time RUclipsr?
    Yes, guys, I am full time as Marco Cirillo on my RUclips channel and I promote my videos on my website BlitzGuitar.com. All the courses I post online are available on my Patreon page bit.ly/2rMAPYG
    How long have you been playing guitar for?
    I started playing guitar when I was 10 years old so it has been more than 20 years. I have always loved fingerpicking guitar so this is why all my tutorials focus on this topic.
    Why are you on Patreon?
    Patreon is great! It allows creators to make money doing what they love. On Patreon I can share my guitar lessons with my Patrons and get paid for it. As a creator, I feel like Patreon really made a huge difference in the way I share my content :)
    Do you do concerts?
    I used to do a lot of gigs in the past. London is a great place to play music almost every day. When my RUclips channel started to grow I decided to go all in and try to help as many people as possible learning guitar. This goal takes all the time I have available so I am not doing any gig or concert atm.

    I started at 11yrs old self taught 20yrs ago with an ear for sound. That’s how I usually play by ear. So Iam here trying to pick up “proper” ways to play i.e notes and scales. I’ve been stuck playing the same chords for a while too. I really enjoy playing the freestyles you play I try to learn as best. Thank you for taking your time and showing us how it’s done.

    Marco, ,you have demonstrated that playing beautifully can be simple helping the community to discover that you don't need to have years of theory to make a pretty melody if you are willing not to repeat what others are doing but taking the time to experiment with simple fingering and inversions coupled with plucking patterns to voice the tone and mood you are seeking. Kudos, Marco!

      Yup. He explains it astonishingly well in his udemy course, which is a crazy good value with the 75% off code right now.
      In short he
      a) picks a key.
      b) maps the scale in that key
      c) lays out the chords of the scale in that key
      d) picks a simple progression of the chords in the key of say 4 chords
      e) picks a picking pattern of some sort. Arpeggios or something that he thinks sounds nice.
      f) lays down some nice melodies on the scale with the progression to help with transitions etc.
      Bam. You have a cool tune. Then you can experiment with the 7th and 9th chord substitutions etc if you want.
      ...but honestly just buy his course and let him walk you through it. Totally worth it.

    hey bro just a small suggestion
    u should put fretboard markers on your guitar
    that way we can easily identify which fret is the chord being played rather than counting on your guitar
    BTW love your work man ♥️

    • @AC-yq2fx
      @AC-yq2fx 5 лет назад +14

      One advice friend, guitars come with dots figures on top of fretboard and on fretboard. Take a look at yours. Use those as your reference point to identify number of frets, root of chords, this way you know exactly where you are on the fretboard. Some guitars start with dots on 3rd fret, 5th, 7, 9 and 12. Others start on 5th fret same sequence. Whatever other frets you see that don't have numbers will be sharps/flats and natural roots regardless what string root (6-5-4) you are starting from. Learn the root names of these frets with dots and then learn those who have no dots. String 6 starts on E, String 5 starts on A and string 4 on D. Those are your main roots to play chords. After that (strings 3-1) you are playing triads with different root positions, but this is another lesson. Hope this helps.

    Thanks for the lesson. I know what you mean. Many times I just noodle around and move the same chord shape to different places on the neck and I come up with some really nice stuff. I do that a lot when I'm trying to make my own intro or outro to songs. Thanks again. New subscriber here.

    This is a great lesson. I’ve been exploring my guitar during lockdown for new chord shapes and sounds and I came across a really nice sounding Bb6(#11) at the first fret;
    0
    3
    0
    3
    1
    X
    But I particularly like your lesson that moves a simple shape up the neck, love stuff like that esp on an acoustic guitar
