This is such an unbelievably informative and inspiring video. Im sitting at school listening to this and all i can think is "I NEED TO FIND A GUITAR TO PRACTICE WITH, RIGHT NOW"
Hello Marco! first of all, thank you for the most beautiful guitar music you've created. I am in The Bahamas, and I am really beginning to learn the guitar as I ought to have, after having been playing since I was 16. I am now 58. I am blind, and therefore have had alot of struggles with properly learning the guitar. 1. I never got lessons as a boy! As I am blind, I could not read instructional books, so as to teach myself. Sadly, as a result, I developed many bad habits. However, I must say that out of all of the guitar instructors on RUclips that I've listened to, you are the first guitarist from whom I have been able as a blind guitarist, to learn the things I always yearned to learn. thanks! I shall share more with you, later. Let me say as I close that your sound, your style of playing, and most of all your clarity in teaching guitar cords, have all caused me to fall in love with the guitar, all over again. I shall appreciate it someday, if along with cords, you can also provide the exact fingering. Again thanks! You've helped me to become the better guitar player, I've always longed to be. My weekest spot though, is playing scales.
I love how you give us a birds eye view of what's possible with just 3 chords. Everything is neatly linked to each other. I not only learn each step. I learn the intricacies between the steps. And all that in a 12 minute video. This shows you are a true master at teaching. Thank you Marco! Keep it coming!
Since watching this video I haven't been able to put my guitar down. I've revisited other chords progressions from my past playing as well and I have adapted them using the ideas you demonstrated. My wife even commented "What happened to you!" "You're playing so many different songs in so many different styles." Thanks again Marco for such as inspiring and informative video.
Thank Marco for what you teach us. Personally I would love being able to play much more of classical tunes the way you do it. Don’t give up doing teaching us classical and Spanish music. You’re so great doing that.
another spectacular lesson Marco! love love the 7:25 Latin feel! really enjoying your Patreon program with all the tabs to really get my playing and music theory understanding to the next level!
Wow. Thank you so much, Marco, I learned so much from this beautiful tutorial, and I'm already coming up with ideas. I have learned more from this tutorial, than any others for years. The possibilities are endless.
These were the 3 chords I played when I learned 25 years ago, I thought they sounded spanish-ish. But I never learned to play up the neck (inversions). I guess I could watch over and over, but I wish you could slow down a little so it could sink in. You always make it sound so beautiful and easy.
Thanks Marco I'm always wondering about these interesting alternative chord options to make my progressions more interesting. More videos explaining how to identify and create these chords such as the secondary dominant etc. Would be really cool and appreciated. Either way thanks for your efforts 🙏🌻
Your demonstrative style inspires me to pick the guitar and play. Must compliment you on the tonal quality of your guitar playing. You are an inspiring teacher.
Figured out this chord pattern when I learned Giuliani's study in A minor for a class. Still the only study I remember because it's so hauntingly beautiful
For the first time I watched your video. I don't think I have ever thought of any other guitar lesson. What you get from this channel is so much that even when you think you have had enough, the magic keeps coming. You are the best. 👌
It's SO FUNNY that you say OUT OF COMFORT ZONE! Seems to imply you need sacrifice in order to gain something in return! I feel you are exactly right about this!! You reap what you sow! Ironically, the hard work is richly rewarded, to the extent that it seems on reflection, it was NOT WORK but pure pleasure! Thank you Marco, again the JOY you bring is life giving me the opportunity to work (hard?) on beautiful music.
Excellent lesson! I wrote a very similar 8 bar last Christmas and my thought processes were very, very similar to yours as I was putting it together! Am is a lovely and simple key to work with!
I play boring-weird stuff.I put some on my RUclips to see my progress.I have been playing awhile and still have a lot to learn your videos help me alot.I haven't played/practiced in the last 6 months but will try again.Thank you for the videos and inspiration.
The first progression are the chords to the moody blues early 1970s melancholy man. Wonderful song wonderful album i believe its on moody blues children’s children s children.
With the E major in there it's actually A harmonic minor which is always more interesting sounding than the Em in a standard A minor progression. Great video.
Using E in the place of Em is something I've been doing since I first started playing, and I still do to this day. One fun thing you can do with it, is move that all up one half step, leaving the open E, B and e, making a Fmaj13/E. (Up a whole step from there, you get a nice voicing of G6/E. Have fun with those. Nice and spicy chords right there.)
Awesome lesson love how you find scale notes to any chord question what is the model a make guitar that you are playing in this video. I think you’re my favorite channel now!
Hi Marco, this is a very good video on chord progression, very fun to watch and quite enticing to put into practice. I like how you emphasize fingure styleing over strumming. By the way, what is the name brand of your guitar. Thank you.
Classical 4:20
Broken chords 5:20
Latin 7:30
Jazz 10:52
Between chords 11:35

I love this kind of lessons. It is really useful to add passing chords in standard chord progressions

Marco you’re the best ❤️❤️❤️❤️ appreciate all the lessons! May blessing follow you and your family!
The music that occasionally interrupts ,is really annoying but rest is top drawer teaching ...
I agree....the interrupting music just kills the mood.
Everything else is top notch.
Agreed, very distracting… but great lesson though.
I thought I was hearing things.....yes agree
The most beautiful chord progression gets interrupted by the most ugly chord progression…
agree - sounds like F1 is about to start -
You have a great way of teaching. The visual aids with the corresponding notes and numbers is awesome! Thank you
You clearly invested a lot of time and effort into producing this. Outstanding work. Thank you for this gift of education and inspiration Marco!

Am Dm E and I'm still standing, yeah yeah yeah!
I like the musical interludes between the chapters in your lessons. They also make it easy to revisit the section to replay and practice!

3:28 is so funny. Marco has subtle humor 🙃
Well...it s a pretty well known and standard melody...take ' If you want me' by glen hansard and marketa irglova for example...
Sweet. My favourite part of the fretboard.
Your guitar is a piece of art, and you make er sound superb!
This is magic! Thank you.

Thanks for sharing. Good stuff.
This is gold! Thanks.
And the finger styles and melodies can be developed from those progressions. You can start imagining a new set of notes along with the lesson.
One of the best lessons on how to build vocabulary I've seen.
You just amazing 😃
Thank you for the lesson
Marco, you are a genius 🎉
Much better to play with naked fingers IMO. No pick needed. Love the progression.
Probably my favorite chord progression on baritone uke, especially making the V major. I thought I invented that ;-)
Hi marco your lessons are always the best .how to get your online classes please?
That last progression was great 👍
Yeah strumming is great but fingerstyle Is even better. 👌
Dude! Love that Latin feel at the last part . 🤘
