    Aweosome video, as a Brazilian i totally agree with keeping the money and investments within this already classic track.... but this is Brazil, things here are always foggy when it comes down to this bureaucracy aspects. Interlagos' race complex nowadays its considered our Race Temple, people do trackdays there too. The festival Lollapalooza happens inside the track, they fit a mega-infrastructure there and you can walk along the racing line and curbs, you can see parts of the old tracks. It's such a pleasing experience, music and motorsport, can´t get better than that hahah

    10:25 those are some passionate background cheers ... indeed one of the great tracks. it would be like moving le mans, monaco or spa. terrible idea. still thats never stopped brazil before :(

    Another great vid,thank you.Absolutely they should keep Interlagos on the schedule.your proposed track extension would be great.to tell you the truth I would like to see more of the old circuit utilized as the lap would still be a bit short,but still one of my favorite tracks.

      Thanks. The Senna S is both a blessing and a cancer... It provided the salvation of the F1 circuit but it killed the old one. Curva do Sol, the final part of the Senna S was the best corner and it cannot be run anymore... Only part of it is run nowadays... Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for a beautiful video,about the history of Interlagos.Like you're mentioning in the end of your video,Interlagos is one of the best circuits on the F1 calender.So i agree with you totally,it's a waste of energy,money and respect of race history,to build a new racetrack in Brazil.
    Your suggestion/idea,to extend the track,with a part of the old track,is a great idea.
    Luckely,this isn't a track,designed by Hermann Tilke,which designs of new racetracks doesn't attract me to what he designs.The trackdesigns of John Hugenholtz(Zandvoort,Japan) attracts me much better. and not only because i'm Dutch.
    I also think Interlagos is one of the favorit tracks of Max Verstappen, especially the rain race in 2016 is now already legendary.But also last year,his race and winning was so mature and convincing,that i still love to review and see the video's of those races.
    It totally made the Brazilian audience going in to rapture.The opinion ,that Verstappen is a new Senna ,compared to each other, is understandable but they are different personalities and in a different time of technical development of racing cars.But i think,Brazilians love "this kid"(Hamiltons way,to ask the poition of Max).

      Thanks.It was a lot longer video but for copyright reasons I removed that 2016 race among other great moments.
      I love these old tracks! So much character and scenery. Now it´s only advertisement boards...
      I am going to see the Algarve race and I expect a great battle between Max and Lewis.

    Do you wanna make a history video about the circuit in The Netherlands, Zandvoort?
    There is a lot of history and changes in that track as well, and its back on the F1 calender now ;)

    Your modified track would be WAY better. Interlagos already has pretty solid races, but a longer track would only make it better. And the foundation for the changes is already there! Good video!

    The original 8 km long Interlagos circuit was the favourite of two very iconic drivers; Ronnie Peterson and Gilles Villeneuve. It was a circuit with so much potential, and so well laid out. It had long straights and every kind of turn, in a concise tight package, meaning, it wasn't spread out. One turn, the Sargento hairpin (now destroyed) had 14⁰ banking, so people could see the cars as if from above in the molehilll inside the turn. Destroying the original layout was a crime.

    Nice video bro, and also I like your idea on changing the track.
    FIA made us loose the speed ring, that was going to be nice for our stock car that could use 2 circuits for the São Paulo Track.

    I don't think many people know that Senna himself took part in the redesign of Interlagos back in 1990. The Senna S was supervised by him step by step until it was from mud to fully asphalted and ready to be used.

    Wow, great vid! Allow me to put in my two cents though:
    When it comes to bureaucrats, there is no reasoning, they just screw everything up. That's why we got Interlagos chopped in the first place. As for the proposed layout, I liked your tweak, but I absolutely despise a chicane before T3. It would ruin eveything. Chicanes are no good for the flow, whereas T3 is crucial for it. I simply fail to see why it cannot be filled with SAFER barriers just as every American racing oval.

      Cheers! Thanks for sharing you ideas. About that chicane that I propose: I forgot to mention in the video that those two straights are not at the same level (the ground) so that would mean that that chicane would be a kind of a mix between Eau Rouge and the Bus Stop. Note that I also am not a huge fan of chicanes but it would reduce the speed to the next corner that simply has a wall and no run-off area - you could no longer have that homologated by the FIA. It would also allow the track to run as an oval again!

    Na minha opinião, a vaidade de Senna em querer colocar sua marca pessoal no circuito "matou" a pista de Interlagos. Foi uma descaracterização enorme do traçado original, que era muito peculiar com suas mudanças de direção, se enrolando dentro de si próprio. As alterações deveriam ter sido mais amenas em Interlagos. 😞

      Pelo que sei (e não sei demasiado) a FIA/FOCA não aceitou os outros projectos que eram como referiu e queria mesmo matar a parte oval para não competir coma INDY. O Senna apresentou essa proposta não para se afirmar (não precisava disso) mas para tentar salvar o circuito. Isto é o que eu sei e posso estar errado!
