It seems easier to buy things from amazon rather from speedway. i never bought much automotive stuff from amazon until I started watching your videos. Thank you. really enjoy watching and learning from your videos.
Embryo, so true. LoL . Remember now that you have a belt on, if you want to start the engine, you will have to add coolant so the water pump bearing is lubricated.
Hey Dave. Nice job once you got it figured out. I went through the same thing when I put mine on. I noticed 2 things and I hope you don't mind me sticking my 2 cents worth in again. 1) I was told that a belt with the notches was a better belt because it has a better grip and stays cooler because of the notches. 2) you should add coolant if you are going to run it too long so the water pump doesn't run dry and mess up the barring. My 2 cents. Thanks for sharing.🍁🍺👍👍
No problem adding any amount of cents. Canadian tire only have that type of belt, so being a Sunday I was too impatient to get a good one. And yes, I won't run the car again till I get water in it.
Thankyou so much! I was wondering where the alternator plate bolted into. I had a hunch it was a manifold bolt, but I didn’t line up so I got confused. Now I know! Lol.
I have the same kit and the bolt that's for the belt tensioner (alternator) doesn't fit and the bolt for the intake doesn't thread in correctly so gotta get the correct bolts or chance it with just one missing bolt
Big red wire from battery to big terminal. One wire from exciter terminal to big terminal. Other wire from small terminal to ignition warning light. I did it in this video... ruclips.net/video/ifmNGEHlXKs/видео.html
Well that's 1 way of doing. But most people don't remove their whole front end, to install an alternator. Lol. Also is that 1 of those glass fuel filters? If it is, I would replace it with a clear, sealed plastic filter, and get it off the block and a little closer to the carb. Not only do those glass filters leak at both ends, but I have had 1 that the glass actually cracked and leaked. Trust me, they are a fire waiting to happen.
There's only 4 bolts holding everything together at the moment, so why not. And yes, I will be replacing the filter soon, I have been warned multiple times.
It's a manual rack. I got it cheap, to test out the whole Crown Vic conversion. If it all works, I'll think about a power rack as it should fit right in. Just needs a different U Joint for the steering.....of course it does.
My dad used o preach,, Chrome don't get ya home boy,, hehe but he didn't care what his cars looked like. Looking good Dave

Yes, I promise not to start it up again till I fit the rad.
Looking good Dave, it’s definitely getting closer to being cruising down the street turning heads, sounds great 👍 👍👍👍👍
Got to fire it up to make sure the belt doesn’t fly off,,,, yeah right Dave!!
Worth a shot
It does sound great my friend!

Sweet . looks good Dave 👍
Looks great , usually when I brackets off the web I have to do a few modifications to make them work .
Yeah, I was expecting to have to do more than just add a washer lol
I like the sound of the exhaust Dave, nice little rumble
It’s coming along 👍
Nice to not have to clock the case, they are super easy if you ever have to. So dont ever get spooked when you get one that is wrong.

I love your accent

Are you not going to use a power steering pump with that rack and pinion?
It's a manual rack. I got it cheap, to test out the whole Crown Vic conversion. If it all works, I'll think about a power rack as it should fit right in. Just needs a different U Joint for the steering.....of course it does.
I totally forgot that you installed a Mustang II rack. Thanks for reminding me.
You put the fuel line in the wrong place. The fuel line goes behind the water pump, that solves your problem
Fuel line was already fitted like that. But thanks, I'll know the next time.
Never read the instructions...!
See that you have real petrol, in Sweden we have shit petrol it looks like water
But I bet you have a higher octane.
