Analog Review: Lomography Slide / X-Pro 200

- In this video I load up a Hasselblad 503cx with Lomo Xpro-200 and take it on a tour of London.
One thing I've been thinking about since exporting this video is the extent to which I countered the cross-process look during the scanning process. I think it's possible to get much wilder results but I instinctively just tamed the shifts and casts as I usually do shooting standard films.

Great vid, that roll coming out of the tank must have been a scary sight!
I was mentally prepared for a weird looking negative but the blue was pretty shocking, especially as I lost the first few frames to a winding issue. I was worried I’d wasted my day on dud film until I saw squares further down the roll!

Appreciate this look at a stock I don’t think I have ever personally seen mentioned on RUclips. Would be curious what it would look like pushed a stop or 2 and processed as E-6
Honestly, got a three-pack for christmas two years ago and searched a video to check if my scans were just wacky or not. Turns out, even though i like grain, the xpro grain is too destructive for my taste and the color shifts are too reddish for me. Will keep this in the fridge for now, maybe shoot it in the future. Not that big of a fan.
So have you used post processing to pull the film back to a "normal" look? I did think your "summary" photos looked reasonably natural. And whilst you say it's warm, it's not Kodak Gold warm... Also - 'nan's' shoot skateboarding? Sounds weird, but my nan probably would have :). Have faith in your quality without needing to do Leica reviews. I found this video fab. Although if it's a 35 or 50 'cron review that's also fine :) Glad you're back!
Because my workflow usually involves moving some sort of cast off the film I think I just ate through some of the lomo/xpro weirdness. I think it's particularly noticable in the shots of the tourist holding the birds, if someone told me that was P400 I'd believe them. One thing I did notice was that the 16-bit file was having a bit of trouble with the skies, perhaps I'd pulled too much out of the warm tones for there to be any colour depth left in the blues.
It's unfortunately difficult to get a base reading with a flatbed, I'd probably need a noritsu or a colour enlarger to see the true image.

It looks like it “fat rolled”, its a common issue with Lomo films if you don’t load it super tight. Basically it was a bit loose when you unloaded it from the camera so you got some light leaks were it snuck in around the spool.
That’s the thing with lomo it’s just such a scrappy random process. I feel like I can do everything as controlled as possible and still end up with wacky negs

Would probably go some way to neutralise it but I think at that point it's easier to shoot 'normal' film
