I finished watching the whole video. You caught it!

Good video, but I specifically want to compliment your bench. You don't really show your bench, but on almost every reloading channel on RUclips, when guys are loading rounds it looks like their press is damn near having a seizure while loading. Yours is rock solid (as is mine, as that is a huge pet peeve of mine)....
Perhaps a video on how you built your bench.

Sure I can maybe do an overview of that and how I mounted things. I do need to show the bench more :-)

mine is rock solid too. I don't know how you guys in US, but here in certain parts of still free Europe (Visegrad) we are using thick chopped wood desks for making kitchen units, specifically desks for that. And those are very thick (1.5 inches) and very massive.
My reloading bench is made from it. That desk is fixed to the wall on 3 steel consoles and underneath as foots are two massive wooden columns. One can dance on such bench.
Probably most extreme video I saw was a guy having Hornady LnL progressive mounted on a drawer. Yeah here:

Been wanting to start reloading for a while now, my co-worker it's kind of egging me on. Do you notice an appreciable difference and accuracy for your loads tailored to your rig versus Factory loads?

Absolutely. You will tailor the ammunition to your rifle and can decide yourself on velocity and pressure how hot you want it.

You were probably using stick powder which is not recommended by Dillon for .223 reloading. Or, there is still some kind of lubricant in the powder funnel which is probably why you are getting spillage.

Yep, there was some lubricant on the drop due too much on the brass loaded. I was trying to size the brass neck and all in one step and I think doing it as a prep stage on the brass first with lube and then clean will eliminate those issue.

I think I can load just as fast on my 550, but I gave up on loading .223... it’s too much hassle

Great video! Do you mind if I ask why there was powder dropping out? I have an xl750 enroute on about a 3-4 week backorder and I'm trying to learn. Thank you!

depends on powder type, very fine powders are doing that unless you ungrease the powder tunnel and wait a little bit to get powder into case completely. It somewhat slows down production but you are not going fast with rifle cases anyway as those are not that stable in shell plate as pistol ones.
I use Lovex D073.4, which is about the same as Accurate 2230 and until I wait about half a second before going downstroke, it will drop a little bit powder.

After researching it seems Dillons are more finicky with certain powders than other progressive loaders.

At 6:17 you had some spillage from the powder dropper as the case was coming out of it. I get that once in a while from my 650. I'm thinking it's the type of powder. I think the finer powders cause this.

Its the sliding bar itself, theres a fix, if u search RUclips you'll find it, the aluminum slide bar is too small, guy had to contact Dillion and get a slightly larger "black" color slide bar for the measure assembly....
