Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial. I love to colour, and I only just started getting serious about it. Even though your tutorial is in faber Castel I think it's very applicable to other brands as well because of how you explain how the colour work together to get your end result ❤
Wow your channel is growing great job and keep up the great videos. I think I subbed at about almost 100 or 130 subs and I’ve seen your channel grow over this short period of time.
Great, in this video you gave the colors used. I starting in portait I bought Faber Castell Pitt pastel, trying to learn Colin Bradley style , then later saw beautiful Portrait tutorials on colored pencils,so I bought the Derwent Ligtfast 36 colors ,they seem Ok for Portraits , animals and Landscapes but like other people saying in reviews ,too many browns and greens . I see you using the Faber castell as opposed to Derwent .Do you have preference for Polychromos ? I heard they were better for details work and they come in very nice color range so will need to buy thoses too! Please keep doing turorials want to see more more.......and more! Thank you!
Ooh now that's a good question, it was a while ago I made this video. Looking at it I'm pretty certain it's as follows: 4 - Ivory, Beige-Red (used to be called Light Flesh), Venetian Red, Red-Violet, Burnt Siena 5 - Ivory, Beige-Red, Burnt Ochre, Bistre, Warm Grey IV, Walnut Brown 6 - Ivory, Warm Grey III, Warm Grey IV, Burnt Siena, Dark Sepia I hope this helps!
So, to talk about drawing what you actually see, not what you expect . . . I taught for years at a big city university in New York, where you could find, among students, faculty or staff, native speakers of 80 or more languages and dialects. Looking out at a brand new class of 25 kids on the first day, I could easily see ten variations of facial skin tone different enough where it might require going down to the base layer and customizing all the way up. If there is anywhere that one size does not fit all, it's human faces.🤗
Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial.

I've always been a Polychromos fan, I really like the detail you can work in with them. Thanks for the kind words, I'll keep making new videos!
Great video thank you for sharing. I learned a lot. But what exact colors were used on second row of skin tones

@@GemmaChambersArt wow. Thank you for replying. Thank you so much.
Yes, thanks, I wanted to know too. This is a fascinating instructional video. I'm getting braver with purple tones.😋
Have you used the brush and pencil blending powder yet?
Great video must be doing German skin tones if you do English skin tones you will have to use Derwent pencils.
The Easiest Way to get skin is just sienna and shade
