its amazing how they can flawlessly draw stuff. for me its real struggle as if even i try so hard my art never improves.. please critique my art please😣
Holy shit! I have learned so much from this video. You're amazing! I've used other colors pencils to draw skin, but i never used the ones you used. You're very talented! are you using Polychromos pencils?
funny aint it i tried so hard and never got so,, in the end i never improve. its like doing weights and never gaining. its like i work twice as hard as anyone. but its for not. i need a pros judgement/critique on my art vid..
Vince Sabellano hi, there’s no concrete answer on your question because it depends on a lot of stuff such as light, health, etc. You can use the one you have or a similar one and experiment to find the combination of pencils you like :)
Thank you Ms. Nina I'd been following you eversince I started studying arts and you helped me a lot please make a shout out sometimes and don't forget me hahahahah. Stan you always. Love from the Philippines.
Thanks for answering my question, I'm actually very detailed and very meticulous 😅, I noticed that the added color layers did not do a good job on the smooth surface paper, and reading your explanation, I see that the smooth surface paper cannot reach the result of a realistic painting, as it would not achieve the objective of obtaining different color palettes. There must be porosity to obtain the result, so that the wax from the applied layers forms a kind of mosaic, you know when you open a photo file in paint or any other painting software and zoom in on the image and the grid appears with various scattered colors filling the square and you turn off the commands and the skin texture is displayed. I think porous paper has this function, which is to give the appearance of different textures that you can produce. Oops😶, forgetting, I will go to the suggestion link👍
I have a question, if you can answer I will be grateful. The use of white pencil is to spread the pigment layers added in the fill area. And this pigmentation texture diagram has some difference in its appearance, result, in other kind of paper. Or the effect does not depend on the type of paper being used.✏🤔
Paper type matters. I use multi tech from paint on. But it’s really up the the artist own feeling and taste. I like the not too rough surface, but too smooth makes it look weird. Try your way. I use a make up brush for more smooth blending. I have a materials video if you are interested in details. And a full -2 week art course at www.ninablangstrup.com - it’s free so share it with friends and less fortunate
I'm not shure if this helped me. I found four colored pencil sets in my storage. Lots of colors but none are burnt ,or raw .. no nuts or cream. No venetians or anything like that.
The skin tones, especially the Asian skin tones, are a bit tricky for me. I am afraid of making those skin tones look either “flat yellow” or “muddy beige”. 😒😟
I think it's really trial an error in the beginning. And then making sure the transitions don't get muddy or flat. Doing these squares before applying it to your actual drawing will give you the practise and make you not waste your time and too many mistakes :)
I liked your video until the advertisement for your Instagram a count covered half of the screen. I'm really sorry but it hard to watch your wonderful tutorial with if floating over thevideo.
