i really rather like the Devil Satan Six colours. these guys are almost like a G2 repaint. i do like that they're named like a rock festival lineup, and that they're so unconcerned with looking sharply robotic like Transformers mostly do. the biometal look is very Giger.

I had to go and and look him up after the video. I was just so convinced by one look that if anything was monsterous, THIS was. What a name, what a design. I’m stuck in bed with a cold so thanks for the major shock of Gobot-itude!
Managed to find a complete version of this guy on eBay for a decent price, and I am completely obsessed. The design is just so fun and their weird little faces crack me up. They all look so thrilled to be part of an evil combiner. Thank you for alerting me to the existence of this wonderful big lad!
If you research a lot of late Machine Robo figures they use some absolutely metal names for that weapons. For instance one of the rock Lord figures weapons is called The Reaper in the US, in Japan it is called the Atomic Death Fork.
The actual original name to the set was Devil Saturn 6. This is a parody of the Japanese combiner team name God Mars 5. The team's name was later Americanized to Devil Satan 6.
I know the Gobots get some stick sometimes but damn if they didn't have some of the coolest names....Gore Jaw, South Claw...Why hasn't someone stolen these names for their metal band?

My grandpa got me this set for Xmas in 88. I really liked it, but it wasn’t very good for holding weapons or anything. I don’t remember the joints beating very tight even new. He always seemed pretty shaky to me and prone to be knocked over. I lived the sculpts though, and even the painted screws. I thought that was a neat feature as a kid. I could never find any info on him as I got older, and nobody else had even heard of it. I lost three of them within a couple years, and had a one or two left for a long time. I think I included them as free gifts to people who bought transformers off me on ebay back in 98 or 99. I’ve always wanted to pick up another set

In seriousness, the first way to fix floppy joints on toys is to buy some floor polish, coat the figure's joints in it so that it seeps into any place where friction is happening, and then let it dry. Other substances work - clear nail polish is pretty effective, and I've used superglue and gotten good results - but floor polish is the safest.
I would love to own this set, I'd like a rerelease but it would probably cost a fucking fortune so I wouldn't buy it. Fucking house is full shite as it is.
It's tough as I got a good deal for mine on eBay a while back - 80 for the lot. Keep checking on the 'sold' prices for a good idea of what they're generally going for?
I wish more combiners....combined like this. I never bought a single combiner that came with separate black plastic hands and those mentally challenged gun feet things... I don’t like parts formers and especially can’t excuse them when the head, Hands, feet and 10 other “parts” of the robot need to be separately assembled. It’s really an issue for me. Like it actually puts me in a bad mood for hours after looking at one. This guy, as goofy as he is, doesn’t have ANY of that. I’d take him over Bruticus or any of the other two toed “gun feet” idiots.

I never figured out exactly why but in the US and European releases of this set they swapped the names of the arms.
Some of the details on fright face remind me of Baltan from Ultraman
