This is why we need to scrap internal affairs for a civilian review board that has the authority to force prosecutors to charge cops when they commit crimes (judges too when they show gross negligence and corruption). They also need to have the authority to fire cops and judges. Give the power back to the people and I guarantee these clowns will start doing their job the right way. Major reforms on how we train police are also needed, currently all we do is give them 3-6 months of fear training and how to write a ticket with an "Us vs. Them" mentality which is exactly how we got to this point. Lastly abolish qualified and judicial immunity. Rules for thee but not for me is the exact reason we fought for independence.

Criminals should face charges for their crimes, particularly when the crimes are so serious. Aggravated kidnapping, intimidation, theft, deprivation of rights....these are some of the worst crimes. These criminals should be facing life in prison or the death penalty.

It definitely seems that the deputies violated their rights by taking her phone so she can record the traffic stop and to listen to their supervisor officer he backed what they did, WOW SO WRONG.
