    We need more startups & innovation in our country. This is how we’ll develop. Because, it kills a major problem: Traffic.

      You know what, the only way to solve traffic problems is to provide a viable alternative to driving. See we do have public transport but look at the infrastructure for them to become effective, forget about efficiency.
      No one wants to take a bus ride if it's going to sit in the same traffic with the cars.
      Make public transport better!!!

      Traffic ain’t a problem in this country. It’s the people that don’t know or don’t care for the traffic rules that cause the problem in this country. It’s the people that cause a traffic, not the other way around.

Same arguments were given when the first trains were built, the same happened when planes came, the same are being given when the bullet train is being built, and the same for Vande Bharat. But it becomes okay when it happens. Innovation mustn't stop and we shouldn't limit our horizon.

      @iashyam 14 дней назад

      Yeah I mean these numbers are speculations for now. We have built a big room with almost no air inside it we are asking for other companies to come and test their pods in it. And also for now our pods don't carry any passengers, our pods are so small as to carry a bag pack. But the point is not that.
      The point is to provide a platform to assist innovation. It's like making an artificial lake to test ships. We are in our first phase, we are making different pods, and after making these pods we need to test these and hence the test tracks.
      It's true that it still needs scaling, it is still far away from implementation. But it is a start at least. And even if we fail, it's better than never trying.
      And yes, we study Thermodynamics as one of the first courses in IIT.

    Why so many people think new technology will save us from traffic, we can attach these pods together and that will carry more people, yes u guessed it its called a train
    Also that doesn't require a 200km long vacuum chamber
    Stop trusting interstellar music😊

    Majority of Vande Bharat trains are running vacant, why are they even thinking of such an expensive project (hyperloop) the cost of which runs more than 100 crores per km!

    I beg people to actually look into why hyperloop tech is so unsuccessful and hasn't come to fruition in real world scenarios. Creating and maintaining a vacuum tube hundreds of kilometers long, big enough to carry passengers/cargo, and achieving it on a reasonable budget is near impossible with present day tech.
    Most "hyperloop" instances are either just college projects for undergrads and postgrads to mention on thier CVs or speculative start-ups with very little to show for all the funding they receive.

    Govt should promote private institutions like MIT Harvard etc. IITs won't but prolonge and sabotage the projects. They were established to build job seekers. Legacy gets carried

    If America wasn't able to do it after burning 450 million dollars what makes u think india will do it? It's good our iitians are working on cutting edge tech but saying it can revolutionize transport and actually transport people from mumbai to pune is just wishful thinking. We can't even finish a bullet train line on time? Already delayed by 3 years. Japan cancelled the bullet train contract because of the delay. Also magnetic levitation is very expensive. China only has 30 km of maglev lines. And China is a master of high speed trains like Japan.
