Hyperloop isn't an innovation yet, it's not even in prototype phase yet. It's not commercially viable, impossible to keep tickets to ₹1000-2000 without subsidising it.
You know what, the only way to solve traffic problems is to provide a viable alternative to driving. See we do have public transport but look at the infrastructure for them to become effective, forget about efficiency. No one wants to take a bus ride if it's going to sit in the same traffic with the cars. Make public transport better!!!
Traffic ain’t a problem in this country. It’s the people that don’t know or don’t care for the traffic rules that cause the problem in this country. It’s the people that cause a traffic, not the other way around.

And also for now our pods don't carry any passengers, our pods are so small as to carry a bag pack. But the point is not that. The point is to provide a platform to assist innovation. It's like making an artificial lake to test ships. We are in our first phase, we are making different pods, and after making these pods we need to test these and hence the test tracks. It's true that it still needs scaling, it is still far away from implementation. But it is a start at least. And even if we fail, it's better than never trying. And yes, we study Thermodynamics as one of the first courses in IIT.
