I’m a bass player but I have an ox box for when I have guitar players over. It’s worked out really well, the room sound is really what puts it over the edge for me. I don’t have a great room to record in, so trying to add Oceanway to a close mic’d cab I really can’t get it to sounds as good as the ox.
Hello, dear friend, I have a question, maybe you can help me. I haven't been able to decide for a long time which is better for me whether to buy the waza amp or the ox box for home recordings. I have an old Marshall amp so that on the one hand the waza can fit but on the other hand the aux box also looks cool. I am no longer appearing today, if you could recommend me, what do you think, thanks
Hi, I'm interested in the ox box, all the demos are very convincing and everything looks great. I have a question if after the installation everything works well or if there are problems that the computer needs to be fixed again for it to work. This is the only thing that worries me because my big problem is that after they come to install the ox for me, problems will start that I have to deal with. Because I'm really not good at working with a computer, I'm pretty analog. Thank you
What no one says about the Ox Box: The attenuator below 5 (which is least attenuated, 1 being most) sounds terrible. The lower you go, the more it's muddy, fidelity is lost, the highs are lost. The other thing, all the emulations DO NOT work through the attenuator. It's only to the line outs. This device is pretty much just for recording.
As I haven't been keeping up with much of late. Now I know what the, OX Box is. It's a funny piece of gear for beginners. I shan't be purchasing for myself. Since I know how to actually record things. Yeah so I think that hunk of junk. Ain't worth the money. It's for folks with no, creative inspiration, whatsoever. It's for children who want instant drive-through gratification. And it's a power soaker. Oh WOW, man. So you can pump 100 watts out of your guitar amp. That never gets to the speaker. So you can still get that nice fizzy quality of your amp. Without blowing up your speakers. And your hearing. I suppose it will be great for kids in apartment buildings. So you don't get evicted. So then it makes perfect sense. And when you ain't got no great, guitar amps and cabinets. There is always the plethora of imitation counterfeiting. All microphones and all the cabinets you ever wanted! Yeah probably not? Though better than nothing.. Something else one can play with. Before they sell it on eBay. You make one album with it. And realize how actually useless, it is. I know, Universal Audio, makes some decent stuff. But the, Putnam boys have rubbed me, the wrong way. On multiple occasions. They grew up millionaires kids in Hollywood. And never really knew their dad. I knew there dad better than they did. I'm older than them. Considerably. And I am not impressed with those boys. So when you want that, Universal Sound. There are a lot of great clones, out there. I highly recommend. When it comes to this gizmo? To me, it's a toy for, beginners and Apartment Producers. And I'm sure folks love it. By virtue of, the nameplate. It's a status thing. For rich people. Are you a rich people person? I'm not! And, I vote! It was a hell of a sales Pitch. I've had an OX Box for about a year. I'm just now starting to get comfortable using it. I mainly record through my Quad Cortex.
I have had an OX box for years and love it. You should also look at the Fryette Power station.
I’m thinking about buying an ox but there’s rumors of an ox stomp or ox box v2 right now
It definitely is a Gamechanger. At least for me. Got mine since it came out and never looked back
