    Hey Phlinger, The basics series has been incredibly helpful on getting into ark. Best source for accurate, clear, and detailed information. Any chance you could do a basics on breeding?

      Look this is old but for newer people seeing this, if you want the most comprehensive in depth breeding guide. Look up the one made by “seeshell gaming” it’s made for super breeding (aka up to like 80 useful mutations if you do weight stam damage and hp though in her vid she just breeds for stam damage and hp) but her points still stand for the most efficient form of breeding

    My favored way to lure Yuts into a trap is to grab a megalocerus or some other herbivore and hover just above the yut, but out of range of the fear. They will follow you all day long waiting for a treat to fall and you can lead them to a trap without all the fuss.

    I think it´s easier to transfer your character to valguero, get a lot of deino eggs, hatch them and make a deino kibble farm

    • @KingOfCha0z
      @KingOfCha0z 3 года назад

      Yeah, I do also think that it is easier in single player, I have my kibble farm with deinonychus in official. 14 females in total, they do not require that much of space unlike the Yutyrannus.
      Taming a single yuti is a pain in the butt because they are never alone and live in dangerous areas.

    My only advice to new players is that the best Kibble you can get before you can mass produce Extraordinary would be Regular Kibble as it gets so many early an mid tier tames. Most importantly your gathers such as Anky, Doedic, Thorny Dragon, (sadly not the beaver). It also get Frogs which for me is my best source of Cementing Paste on the Island since I raid the Chitin Cave in the Redwoods. It is also a great creature to transfer over to Scorched Earth as it will probably be your best source of paste, killing Jug bugs and Ants until you get a chemistry bench. It also gets Baryonyx and needless to say if you watch Phlinger's videos you will realize how amazing and versatile they are. I wouldn't tame a Bary on anything less than Kibble. And of course many Ark players first flying tame Pteronodon which I think the best taming effectiveness possible because you want that every bit of possible weight and stamina without losing levels.

    • @KingOfCha0z

      The best dino to get regular kibble would be the turtle. Easy and fast tame, also, they drop more eggs than carnos.

    So..... if a dino needs a particular kibble to tame, you can use that kibble or any higher level one? Am I understanding that correctly? So if you have access to Regular kibble, there's zero need to make any kind of lower variety, and each time you gain access to the next level kibble, you can scrap the lower stuff?

    • @andrewtyacke1395
      @andrewtyacke1395 4 года назад

      I don't think that is right dude. After listening to this video I tried an experiment and yes extraordinary kibble can replace the lot but when you use it instead of the asked for kibble the tame is much slower.

    • @JarlSeamus
      @JarlSeamus 4 года назад

      @@andrewtyacke1395 Nope. Not seeing that at all. If you use a higher tier of kibble than the dino requests you get a FASTER taming rate. If something wants "Superior", and say it takes 10 feeds to tame, but you give it Extraordinary, it will tame in maybe 2 or 3. For every tier of kibble you go up, taming speed increases.

      @conner4385 4 года назад

      @@Cannibal_Actual That might be a bug but you gotta remember if you leave the Fertile eggs just sitting their there gonna Break/Die cause of their Health Draining from the Weather.
      Thats why you usually make one of those Eggs farm cause when you DO get a Unfertilized egg it last about 7 days on the Ground like the Fertile ones.
      Also you can tame a Oviraptor and set it on Wandering, it will Increase the Production of Eggs and Feces and if you don't want it to get out of your Dino Pin you can just Overencumbered it and it will still give the Bonus Egg Production.

    • @Cannibal_Actual
      @Cannibal_Actual 4 года назад

      Conner Merchant no it’s a raptor egg, sometimes it’s the top egg sometimes it’s the bottom. But I don’t really care if they die or get close to spoil because I use them for kibble and there is a easy glitch to reset the time on them you probably had it happen and not even know it. Oh that’s the only way to use ovi raptors there is no other use.

      Only problem on official is there is a long cooldown timer if you want to mate them again. Also it takes a good few hours for them to hatch an egg
      Yutys will passively be laying tons and tons of eggs. It's the best way.

    If you play official, here's a tip. Go to valgeuro, even for 20 minutes, grab as many deino eggs you can of any level, hatch and raise all females, regardless of level, and one male of any level, Raise them, and build an inside pen for them, recommended inside anyway. Once you raise them, they can lay fertile only eggs, which is where females come into play, They will lay eggs when they can after mating, and their eggs do not expire/lose health. Meaning you can leave them for up to 6 days untouched, and pick them up every 6 days (they despawn after 7 days). Having deinos set like this will give you room to raise more females and use more eggs for kibble, setting up a sufficient kibble farm. Thanks to transfer, you can do this on any map (even aberration) and have kibble eggs ready.

    • @cal8707
      @cal8707 4 года назад +1

      I take this back... they apparently lay raptor eggs passively.... somehow...

    • @ziudra91
      @ziudra91 4 года назад

      Yutys is still way faster. Females on official have a cooldown timer next time they can breed. Even the hatching process on official rates takes a good few hours.
      I get what your saying but Yutys is just more efficient.

    • @KingOfCha0z
      @KingOfCha0z 3 года назад

      @@ziudra91 But also harder to get, you can steal deino eggs on an iguanodon being level 30 to 50, but you can't tame a Yuty that easily.
      You need a wyvern and a trap to get the yuty, it is very dangerous and painful to tame one single yuty, and also they need more space than deinos.
