hey Russo what's going on man just started following you just got me a 2018 Tacoma looking to do some upgrades I have a question for you I'm going to get a 3in spacer to level the front with the 3-inch block to put in a rear what I need to upgrade my shops for that or if you have any suggestions on a decent suspension lift I'm all ears
You can email me for more detail jesserizoyt@gmail.com but do you plan on doing any offroading? Or your never going to touch dirt it’s an important question lol that’s y
A tip for this install. You want to keep the remote wire and the power wire separate from the rca cables. Ideally you would like to run the rca cables on the other side of the truck cabin. This will prevent noise from the current going through the power wire.
Great job - thorough without being repetitive. Provided good detail without getting lost in the weeds. Looking forward to watching more of your videos!
Man I gotta tell you, im an idiot when it comes to installs, but watching your videos, i feel like i can do anything! Awesome videos for Tacomas, especially 3rd gens. Keep it up man!
U got it my friend if u ever have questions. U can always email me as well I leave my email in all my videos description box :)!!! Thanks for the support it means a lot to me
I like to put an inline toggle switch on my remote line for the amp. This way I can turn it off when I have my kids or other passengers in the back. Great video, very detailed.
I’ve done that in the past in another car lol it works out good to be honest 👍 , the cool thin on this amp I don’t recommend it cuz it’s not that good but it’s nice that it comes with the bass control knob so it kinda works as the toggle switch I can control the bass and just lower it all the while in the same scenario, Thanks for watching my friend :)
Great video. The only thing I saw that you missed was you didn't tell the novices about setting the level on the high level adapter. And also, the sound dampening material is really a matter of preference. I do have to point out though, that it does take up space, so it alters you airspace inside the subs enclosure. A better alternative that I have personally used is rubberized undercoating. It deadens the vibrations to the box while not really using us a significant amount of internal air space.
Aight this is getting freaky bruh, literally every time i find a part i want for my 2016 TRD Off-Road i come on to RUclips and you're on my recommended with the exact parts i want! lmfao crazy shit. Love the channel bro keep the vids coming. Taco looks great!
Followed your video to install my taco tunes box similar to yours. GREAT help on all the connections, interior removal and routing, etc. Done and love my install!
Thanks for making this, I just picked up a 2017 Tacoma while driving home I was trying to figure out how I’m going to get a sub installed. This is perfect!
Nice job, I had to educate myself awesome video. I did my 09 Tacoma DCLB had to take out the back plastic panels for Sub Amp Kicker 11dx 500.1 mono amp. powering 2 10" kicker subwoofers. Also new rockford prime d class 4 channel front & rear speakers polks 6.5. Still sounds great after 5 years.
Hi Jesse, I stubbled on your channel a few days ago. I ordered the plug n play converter, didn't know one was available. I traded a guy my 10 in kicker comps/ competition box & amp for a Memphis SA110 SPD. Turns out it was a good trade after all. I did not want to drill or remove back panels from my 2017 Tacoma with only 8,000 miles on it. Hooked it up today, not really any louder but definitely fills truck with extra bass and sounds good for all different types of music I listen to. Thank you !!
The foam in the sub box is called polyfill it tricks the subwoofer into thinking it in a bigger enclosure which makes it hit harder and get those low notes
Thanks for this video, very helpful. Can you make a video on upgrading to a 4 channel amp and replacing the stock speakers and tweeters but keeping stock head unit along with this setup? Thanks
Hi Jesse!!! My husband is definitely going to love your video lololol!!! A subwoofer and a amplifier Lolol!!! That is okay if the video is long!!! I got your back!!! Lolol!!! I did not know that the seat belt can come off that easy!!! The clips make it so much easier!!! Good idea with the clothes hanger!!! I love how you explained what socket to use for the bolts!!! I always wondered what or where you can use the RCA cables!!! Good point on using the double sided video tape!!! The speaker fit perfectly in side of the subwoofer!!! Thank you for explaining why you used a template or wood for the amplifier!!!! Thank you for explaining the grounding point!!! I loved your video Jesse you are soo detailed I so love that!!! You keep everything so clean where theirs not a lot of wiring showing!!!! I agree with you no copyright Lolol Xoxo Pam 💖♥️♥️💖

Great video Jesse! I've been thinking about doing this to my 2020 sport. I don't want a new head unit but more power and a sub along with speaker swaps.
When I first got the truck yes but now I wanted to get a roof top tent or a camper hard or soft top 🤔 which one of three is getting shipped to me as we speak lol
also the reason the cut out is there is because you have the motor for the rear window as well as the air pressure vents if you push those in or they break it will let rain directly into the vehicle
That one is a little more complicated I’m sure there is company’s out there now that have adapters for it but If not you may have to do a full on stereo swap and everything for yours :/
Great video, but are your speakers still running off the stock head unit? I wanted to see how you go about connecting speakers to amp as well. Probably need another adapter in the back with more outputs
U got it my friend as recommendation for the amp I would probably go with a rockford fosgate or a kicker amp and for the amp kit the one I used is ok but I would shoot for a rockford or a kicker amp kit but if u just want a little added bass the one I used is ok, and as far as the box I used that one is perfect and the subwoofer I used is good and the line output converter is good to use 👍 😁👍

A tip for this install. You want to keep the remote wire and the power wire separate from the rca cables. Ideally you would like to run the rca cables on the other side of the truck cabin. This will prevent noise from the current going through the power wire.
mingomane1 another tip for install is to use any brand except kicker
Caden Cannon I do like their solobaric series but the rest is meh
mingomane1 if you use quality wire and RCA’s and the sub is crossed over correctly any noise will be too high for the sub to play
Caden Cannon why do you think kicker is so bad?
Caden Cannon kicker is a top brand so shows how stupid you are
I cant imagine a better video on this topic Good work brother.

Lol without recording I’d probably do the same 😂
