    I had a so called profesional upgrade my tacomas audio system a few years ago. When it stopped working I took it apart to check it out and what a mess! It looked like a rookie install, a ton of mistakes and poor quality work. So I decided to fix it myself, I ripped it all out and started over, your video provided a lot of useful information and really saved me a lot of time and frustration with this project. To anyone who has used this amp and connected it this way - is your volume loud?
    My music sounds clear but I kinda expected a little higher volume, but with the amp dialed in Immy speakers and sub are not that loud. I installed this amp and a 10” jl in a stealthbox and infinity primus 6x9s in the front and infinity reference speakers in the rear.

      That amp does 550 Watts @ 2 ohms, so if you wanted two 12" subs, you'd want a pair that will wire to a final impedance of 2 ohms, and around 300 watts RMS each. It just depends on what vehicle, subwoofer box, etc is being used to know what sub combination would be best for your amp.

    I did this exact install using same parts and equipment. The amp powers on and off without remote power. The seller says it's because of the High level input was used and it's sensing that signal to turn on and off. Also the sub doesn't work. Quote from seller "The amp has signal sensing when you use the speaker level inputs. That is why the amp it turning on with out the remote wire connected. Also since you are using speaker level inputs you have to switch the input selector to AB, since you do not have a sub output connected."
    I have front, rear and sub connected only difference was they sent me the marine version of this amp. HELP! LOL

      Any healthy battery, and certainly an upgraded AGM would be beneficial. Your factory electrical, on a health battery can support this fine.

    Thanks for the video! I installed this amp yesterday. I just have one weird thing - the sub only works if I switch the sub/ab switch to ab. If I switch it to sub it cuts the cub off completely. Any idea what could cause this?

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  7 месяцев назад

      Yes because you are not supplying the amplifier a dedicated sub input signal. Since this is a high level input consisting of only 4 channels of input, we still need to generate an input for the sub, so that switch tells the amp to pull that sub signal from the other 4 channels A/B.

    Thank you for the video, love the step by step! One question, that blue signal wire was connected on the out put side via t-tap, and I noticed you said it doesn’t need it on both sides so does that mean on the input side I can just leave off/not connect the blue wire and kinda cap it off? Or does it still need to be connected on that side of the harness to going into the amp. Thanks!

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  2 месяца назад +1

      This amp "should" turn itself on without the use of the blue wire as it has a signal sense feature. Some amps don't have that feature, so you'd connect the blue wire to the remote input of the amp and the other end to the manual connection behind the radio for accessory.

    amazing video and i have a question....I just had a group install a system into my 2023 taco. There is a constant buzzing noise when there is no music playing. I'm assuming you did not have any buzzing when you were done with your build. they keep blaming it on the fact that it is a factory radio. I'm calling bullshit but idk enough about it to question, hence, why i had a "professional " install it. Is there really anything that i can do? already tried a ground loup isolator. You can slightly hear a higher pitch when accelerating and when the windshield wipers are on, you can hear an amplified squeel sound. Ik its probably impossible to diagnose without actually seeing the truck, but, any ideas i may be able to look at would be a great help. The only thing thats a major difference is i have a 4 channel amp for the doors and the sub is an 8 inch sub amp combo.

      It hasn't been tested yet by Pac with the newest year, but the radio hasn't changed which is why Pac won't confirm or deny if it works or not.
