Man, you are going to have a ridiculous amount of castings with so many systems ready for harvest! Despite the "benevolent neglect", they're all looking awesome! 👍

Awesome update and another MASSIVE feeding. Amazes me how much you put in these bags etc. I must admit I have ‘trouble’ leaving my worms alone to ‘get on’ with ‘getting on’ what they do best. 40 plus days I would be ‘lost’ … Also just bought a cheap coffee grinder for doing my egg shells… it truly pulverises the shells into a fine dust and it’s easy to see why you wear a mask(and explain why) when adding egg shells to your systems. Keep composting…

I have a Vermibag. The one-one size down from yours the lil Mammoth. I recently read that I should be harvesting every four days. I have been doing that and getting a lot of good castings. My comment for you is I have a lot of trouble keeping the bottom from drying out completely. I have started opening the bottom and moistening the contents. I've also had trouble getting that foundation layer to establish. The bottom seems better with the 4 day harvest but I have only been doing that for 3 cycles-Thursday, Sunday, Thursday once. I started my bag in March 2021 so it has been going a long time. Have had several collapses into the bottom.
I also grow worms in 10 gallon bins and have done that for years. Very simple and successful. I have found the Vermibag to be a bit frustrating. Appreciate your information. Have not found anyone else using one. I freeze my food, defrost and run everything through the blender with water, then mix with bedding. You would think that would be enough moisture. I also add water by spraying the top almost daily.
