My last cat just forced me to take him in. He choosed my porch as his place to hang out and then he started stealing absolutely everything that even remotely looked like food. It was basically the only viable option for me to adopt him and start to feed him. That was about five years ago.
I had a "Cat Distribution System" moment a few years back. It was a bitter cold November day, and I was at home chilling (ha), when I hear meowing coming from outside. I didn't think much of it at first, but it kept going, so I stepped outside and looked over my balcony and I see this tiny white kitten in my downstairs neighbor's garden. I went downstairs and it just came right over to me. Now, I wasn't in the market for a cat, since I already had two, but it was so cold, and the kitten was shivering so much, I couldn't bring myself to leave the poor girl outside, so I took her to my mother and the little one became a part of the family.
This is how I got my cat as a Kid. My dad worked at car workshop. She waited till the door got opend by a costumer, walked to him, sit down and waited till he took her home. She then went to me and after I gave her some food and waited till she trusted me to pet her. She never left my side again. She is 11 now and still lives her best life.
A few years ago we were targeted by the cat distribution system. 6 newborn kittens strolled into our garden, all cold and wet and starving. They jumped on us and meowed like crazy. We took them in and fed them. One of them died of illness. Three were given to families and we kept two who are still chilling with us as of right now.
A couple years ago I'd been out moving the lawn on our riding mower, and as I came around to the front yard I noticed something moving a few feet to my right. Lo and behold it was a very young kitten (so young that it's eyes hadn't even fully opened yet, we later found out that he [we eventually learned that the kitten was male] was only around 9 days old). I immediately ran and got my parents' attention and we brought it inside and began looking for someone who take the little guy in, as he was too young for us to take him in ourselves. We found a group that could take him in and once he'd passed their "quarantine" period (where they watch for signs of illness and the like), he very quickly was adopted. I still think about the little guy from time to time, and part of me wonders if my grandmother sent him to us, as she'd passed away not long before I found him. And the little guy was really lucky that we found him when we did, as we have _a lot_ of hawks in the area who would have all too happily grabbed and made a meal out of the poor little guy.

I’ll leave you with these verses… “that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. I still find it amazing that an animal that should by all rights be scared of humans being about 8 times taller than them will willingly run to a person in their time of need. they seem to know we will help them and that is just a thing of beauty.
