Just want to thank you dude, I play this video almost everyday for my infant son while he is having a bath. He smiles HUGE as soon as the strings for Duck Tales start.

I'm not Finnish, and don't know the show, but recognized the language immediately. Finnish is such a distinctive language, it's very beautiful. I got stuck with English. English doesn't sound beautiful on its best day.

Sami S Well, it wouldn't necessarily surprise me. Like I said, I think it's a beautiful language, written and spoken. As far as I can tell Tolkien based Quenya off of Finnish orthography, so that gets my vote.

Alavilla mailla hallan vaara - that's a tough one to translate unless done very literally word by word, and it's gonna lose it's natural flow when doing so. I would say its basically an idiom but cant come up with a related one from English language.
Alava = low-lying, alavilla = on low-lying
maa = land (multiple other things like ground and earth but i think land is most fitting in this context), mailla =on lands
halla(n) = frost (or what ever happens to land (ground) when it gets cool (water freezes)
vaara = danger.
also the sentence is in potential form so it begins with an unwritten ''there is'', you could input the finnish word ''on'' in there but the idioms (or other sort of older literature) often dont do that.
Alavilla mailla hallan vaara = (there is) a danger of frost on low-lying lands.
(roughly - *cough*)

Dude, I don't speak Finnish and don't know the show, but I recognized the language immediately. Finnish is so distinctive and beautiful. At least, I think so. I said it in another comment, but I got stuck with English, and English isn't beautiful on its best day.
It may be a bit cliche for an American, but my first introduction to Finnish language was Tuomas Holopainen, lol. I've always wanted to learn it since then.

This medley has been a part of my memory for years. I don't even know half of the shows, and yet I know this entire song and anytime I think of one theme song I do know, I end up singing this medley... Tis' a curse. Everyone thinks I'm a fool when we watch Digimon and I start singing Darkwing Duck!
Well, getting this medley as an earworm brought me back here to listen to the whole thing (since I've had the earworm off and on for a couple days now and the one good method to get rid of an earworm is to actually complete the brain cycle that's trying to recall the details). And I definitely have some of these songs tied to other songs in this medley, because of this medley. So I guess you're not alone XD

This is a really high quality video for 2010. Most videos these days are 720p but in 2010 and before videos were commonly not HD. And the green screening and editing is also exceptional for 2010.
