Mine just went away I have no idea where they went and it scares the sh#t outta me
Once a sea dragon tried to mess with my prawn suit i grappled it and drilled its belly for about 5 minutes and it died
Stasis rifle+dozen of gas pods. Stun reaper, swim into bubble, drop gas pods. Retreat. Done.
Then sir I have the answer to your problems! Introducing….. the stasis rifle!!! This little boy can produce energy orbs that on contact will explode into a bigger orb and anything that is inside of it will stop moving! And yes, even reaper leviathans!! So next time you want some cyclops parts and need to undergo the risk of reapers just bring this bad boy and you’ll never fear anything again!
Seamoth with arms is amazingly cursed, I love it
I actually think it looks far less cursed then the prawn suit.
I mean it just looks like a modern research submarine drone.
Realistically it definitely should have one

Until you realize that I killed all 25 reapers, all (I believe) 5 Ghost leviathans, all 3 sea dragon leviathans and 1 void ghost leviathan all with just a thermo blade and stasis rifle…

reapers for some reason are really attracted to the void when taking constant damage, one literally made it their mission to just swim straight down into the void lol
this may have actually been intended, as in the story, a reaper swims into the void with marguriet.

5:11 That's a glitch that has been in the game for years, and it affects almost every killable lifeform. I think it's the damage animation getting stuck in a loop when the creature dies.

A fun fact:
Killed fishs still doing swin motions even after they die, snakes head can still bite you even when the chopes of they bodys and much more happen because muscle spasms that happen after the creature die
So... that glitch is in real life too.

There's something even better than stasis rifle and th. blade
It's stasis rifle + a hail ton of gas pods
So reapers were already struggling after the aurora crased in their habitat, and most of them died of starvation or radiation, and then you killed the survivors and made them go extinct. I almost feel bad for them. Almost
No mercy, its survival of the fittest! 😂

A Subnautica player with a cursed Seamoth just committed mass genocide and caused an extinction is a sentence i never thought i'd say.
I guessed half the challenge but this is still crazy.
Something that I find even more terrifying about the Reapers...there are 25 of them in the crater...a comparatively tiny section of the planet...how common were these things before the Kharaa
The scary part is that they're the shrimp or krill of the deep sea, not an apex predator. Miles-long predators live deep in the Void, and the shallow waters are only Reaper territory because it's one of the only places they aren't easy prey.
@Espartanica This is all really headcanon with no basis in the game. A lot of people like to pretend there's just a bunch of supermassive kaiju sized organisms in the deep, but we haven't seen a single void organism except for the Ghost Leviathan and Void Chelicerate. The fact that the former feeds on Krill show that Krill keep their role, Reapers do not susbtitue for them. There are likely larger creatures in the void, but nothing as massive as a kilometer, considering the size of the other living fauna in Subnautica approaching a maximum of 150< meters.

It's said in-game that exclusively microscopic and Leviathan class life forms live in the dead zone. The gargantuan fossil, which inspired the gargantuan leviathan mod, is found in the base game, and it's stated that it's likely that it used to be able to roam in the area but geography changed over time.
There may or may not be things more massive than what's in the crater now, but it's canon that in the past, much larger creatures did exist out there.
@Espartanica Yes, the past, millions of years ago. We have no idea what else is there, and while the crater edge only has leviathans and microscopic organisms, we have no idea what else, if anything, is down there. In all likelihood there is nothing down there because there simply isn't enough biodiversity to create a functioning ecosystem past 2000m deep.
Edit: It would be the equivalent of saying dinosaurs might roam the Earth because we found their million year old bones.

Small correction: there's 9 reaper leviathans in the crash zone, and the 1 bonus one is actually in bulb zone, but that is so close to the crash zone and the aurora that no one should care and just count that reaper into the crash zone tbh.
Funfact: (for all of you that didn't read the PDA entry) Reaper's have a small brain, and i'll actually confirm that since the first thing i saw a reaper do was...... swimming into a wall repetetively, and getting stuck on the wall......

The claw arm deals 50 damage per SECOND, not hit, they actually deal 2 times mkre damage than the drill arm, you just can't keep the mouse button pressed and have to spam. To be fair wiki is sometimes wrong, but no one actually tested from what I know
I dont know why you used the solar charger instead of Hull Reinforcement which negates normal bump damage

Some of the reapers were knocked out really close together as their health doesn't regen!

My suggestions from last video are this video, and right after its the video about reapers wich is pretty funny
Do a vid about the most efficient ways to kill leviathans in below zero, since it’s much more difficult without the stasis rifle and gas pods.

I found the using the Seatruck to ram them in their faces and using fully charged defense system worked well on the Shadow leviathans since they couldn’t run away, but the surface leviathans (can’t remember their names) tried running to the void. I still managed to get a couple of them, and the ones that ran never seemed to return.
Okay but the little drawings of the Reapers are kind of cute.

This give me an idea for a challenge run, literally wipe out all Leviathan class life forms in the game that are killable. Genuinely wipe out the all those species from the planet.
for killing reapers quickly i recommend using the stasis gun to inmovilize the reaper, and use (with a lot of delicacy since this strategy could harm yourself) your seamoth with two (or more for unlimited power) torpedo systems to carpet-bomb this aquatic alien abhorrence
ive dont know if its been found yet but i left a time capsule talking about how i didnt have much time and that the reapers were already making their way inside the Neptune rocket, with an image of a reaper of course. Still my favorite messaged ive ever left for a time capsule

I nearly shat my pants when seeing this seamoth x prawn thing
Just today I was fighting a reaper with this method, letting it grab me and then hitting it in the face. Only, I was using the prawn which is much tankier. But the reaper i was fighting vanished in the middle of a very open red grass area and the scanner room said it was just below the surface of the water. No trace of it anywhere. They really can wander between dimensions as they please.

The seamoth taking around 40-60% damage to the reaper ks good knowledge when exploring the crash zone.
Because just going into the back of the crash zone is anciaty inducing to me

Reapers are scary, working on getting rid of them, killed 2 so far with thethermalblade. I'm knifing those 55m danger noodles till they become ghosts
You can do it easier out of the seamoth. Stasis and fire knife combo is very effective if you speed up the game
I remember in my first playthrough i accidentally dragged a reaper from the Aurora to my base, so i slashed it to death with the basic knife, then, a little while later, i accidentally dragged a ghost all the way home by driving through an unloaded hole in the wall of the lost river with my cyclops, so i slashed it to death with the thermal blade, then i just decided i wanted to kill a Sea Dragon, and my prawn suit broke so i backed off, then i got curious, and ended up killing a baby sea emperor, something i really regret doing
Thought this would be ramming them all not a mod. Still pretty funny though got to admit

I did this but in Below Zero, but without arms, i just rammed my seatruck against anything that looked at me funny

A video showing bugs and the inconvenience of killing animals in the game. They went out of their way to not reward players for killing them, but killing a reaper to stop it bugging you is reward enough.
