Hi Emma and Norm I loved the garden's so beautiful and the water chime. I'm staying in shinjuku, can you walk there? That coffee shop was great too so quiet, loved the clocks took me back to my nan and granddads when there clock would chime at 12. 🤗😍💖💙📸👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
looked like such a lovely day with hidden gems like some of those park. it also helps that u2 got great Chemistry. could watch hour long videos like this and be entertained troughout. thanks and can't wait till the next one :)
I was born and grew up in Ogikubo! Thanks for introducing my town to the world! 10minutes from Shinjuku by JR Chuo-line. Highly recommend for foreigners. Safe area.
I was just about to explore this area today before a concert but decided not to at the last minute! Will definitely have to come by and explore now, especially that garden.
This was a lovely little series, looks like a nice laid-back area. Thanks for sharing :) I think Norm needs to do a kisetan tour of places that have the best coffee! We hit up a few older kisetan on our last trip, and although quaint, kitsch and mostly staffed adorable older ladies, they didnt have a great coffee selection (one even served only instant, eeek!) hehe
Love the whole video! The Monozuki Coffee Shop makes me think of my parents house. They have the wood and antique vibe going in their house. But, most of all, my Dad loves clocks and they have over twenty, leaning towards thirty in their house. They are set a little off from either other, so when they chime, they take turns. ♥️
I used to carry a few cinnamon stick and chewing them, and by my personal experience i think the best way to enjoying it were by using the cinnamon stick to stir the hot coffee and don't take it out till your cup were empty where you'll find the cinnamon to be soft enough to chew on..
Its so funny how i live a minute walk away form ogikubo and I havent even visited these ereas😭 but now i know i will probably visit❣️thanks for this video✨
Great vid. Re. antiques, TC might be able to make a good video about the Oedo antique market? Twice a month, jammed full of interesting stuff. I think it'd make for good content. (last time I was in Tokyo I was lucky enough to be there on the right Sunday and scored some sweet netsuke).
I was so confused. This got recommended to me and I didn't get a notification for Norm's channel and it was 3 days old so I was about to tell Norm in the comments there was a problem with notifications and then I clicked it and realized Norm was on a different channel lol!
THANKS EMMA for recommending this park at the start of the video to me a few months back. My wife and i visited this place and enjoyed it!!! then afterwards we visited Nakano Broadway afterwards for dinner and shopping
It will be nice if you write in the description the month of the filming of the video. I'd like to travel to Japan but I don't know which month to go because of the weather.
The first weeks of December. The days are cool, rainy season is over, nights chilly, just need a light jacket, X-mas illuminations, fall foliage, it's the best time to come visit.
5:50 actually, as a linguist I have to disagree! 'I'm' may be two words but it's only one syllable. So if it's really the number of syllables that counts, Norm's line should be okay.
I think on a friendship-level definitely, they present really well together, its like a smooth conversation with them bouncing off each other. I dont think theres romantic vibes if thats what you mean though, and doesnt emma have a bf?
@@illicitshadowThe interaction between Norm and Emma is so natural, so I thought maybe there's something brewing, or they could be just tuber colleague to each other as they tend to hang out and help each other out as you pointed out.
errr,... Ogikubo isn't " central Tokyo " ,... you're just a few stops away from leaving the special wards (^_^) ... hmmm, you might like Koto ward (Tokyo ' low town '), especially Monzen-nakacho,... if you speak Japanese it will be easy, otherwise I think you'll have problems ...
Definitely worth a visit but I missed more in depth info, just showing the pretty felt superficial and the conversation was.. Eh too staged. Also the girls thirsting after Norm, he has a family and a kid, have a bit of decorum.
Which spot in Ogikubo did you think was the coolest? Emma is definitely heading back there for those chairs...
That park was so pretty and the garden with the trickling water sound thing was awesome!
Hi Emma and Norm

The park with huge ginko trees was gorgeous! I loved the chairs too. Damn Japan is so awesome
YAY MORE NORM! The Norm-Emma duo is TC's best!
Coffee and Ramen:
Both are such amazing things.
A very good time.
It's crazy for me to think about how many hidden gems there are in Tokyo just waiting to be explored! I can't wait to move to Japan 😭
Take me with you. 😢

Emma's Emmas, where good things always happen because Emma is a gem.
I was born and grew up in Ogikubo! Thanks for introducing my town to the world! 10minutes from Shinjuku by JR Chuo-line. Highly recommend for foreigners. Safe area.
Perfect timing! Today is our chill day in Tokyo. This place is great
Fantastic video! Always fascinating and a pleasure to see your adventures! Lots of love from Melbourne...:)
Emma is stacked
That first place reminded my of the movie A Garden of Words. Beautiful film.
Can't wait to check out these places when I go back to Tokyo
I highly recommend the park at the start in the beginning of the video!! and then go to Nakano Broadway for shopping and dinner!
Nishi Oigkubo is my Tokyo "home" our fave airbnb was there.
We plan on staying in the area again. Nice and quiet.
It was nice and quiet while still allow access to all the big touristy spots
Definitely need to go check this area out. I loved the park in the beginning. It would be so beautiful in autumn.
Nishiogikubo also has a free anime museum as well as a very big and cool shrine a 15 min walk north from the station
I'm glad i made something to eat while i watched.
I was just about to explore this area today before a concert but decided not to at the last minute! Will definitely have to come by and explore now, especially that garden.

Also, sorry if I just gave the channel a bunch of notifications about comments, ha!
Otaguro park does really nice light up for the autumn leaves
Oh god, you guys always make me so hungry with videos like these. Now I crave after Ramen😩
Great to see the return of Energetic Emma and Knowledgeable Norm! (excuse the poor attempt at nicknames haha)
I used to carry a few cinnamon stick and chewing them, and by my personal experience i think the best way to enjoying it were by using the cinnamon stick to stir the hot coffee and don't take it out till your cup were empty where you'll find the cinnamon to be soft enough to chew on..

I live here too 😂
Thanks for the awesome videos , I really enjoyed it.
Love the hidden spot stops ! I think my fav was that garden with the well chime! So neat! What time of ramen did you guys order?

If it's not sponsored, they won't film it.

"..the area is known for coffee and antiques" Me: Yes. (LOL) Great job TC crew!
Loving Norm's low key shamisen hat.
If you're there I recommend the suginami animation museum. It's small but really nice and free to enter :)
" you can get some pretty wicked looking melons over there, like, actual watermelons " 😂
"You know thoshe cool people in moviesh with a tootshpick? Thish ish the nexsht lebel" - I'm dying
Would love to see some more love on the east side of tokyo other than Akihabara!
agreed! Ueno/Ameyoko is my fave area of Tokyo, I can't wait to live there some day!
Coffee haiku:
Coffee coffee cof
fee coffee coffee coffee
Coffee coffee now
Ogikubo reminds me of Space Patrol Luluco
Forbidden love koi 🤣
THANKS EMMA for recommending this park at the start of the video to me a few months back. My wife and i visited this place and enjoyed it!!! then afterwards we visited Nakano Broadway afterwards for dinner and shopping
Only 12 minutes from Shinjuku! ☺ ♥ 🇯🇵
"i don't really know any card tricks" *does 3 really cool card tricks* 🤣
I feel like you got ramen just for the video... no one craves ramen when its that hot outside 😂
It will be nice if you write in the description the month of the filming of the video. I'd like to travel to Japan but I don't know which month to go because of the weather.

Idk if Tokyolens and tc don't collaborate anymore but I hope y'all pick him up for more vids.
What’s the music?
Norm! Norm!
Post a cardistry video, Norm!
💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
The ramen looked reallllllly good! How much (USD) did a bowl like that cost?
DanMan869 generally around 9-11 usd. Some cheaper ones can be 7/8 and the Michelin Star ones are about 18
今日の動画も面白かったです。都内の紹介動画を作るならブラタモリを参考にすると良いかもしれません。
"Like actual watermelons" lol
God damn, norm makes me drool, he’s so fine and he wears tight clothes on purpose...he knows what he’s doing!
haha! Lucky he is fit and comfortable in his own skin, eh? :P
@MJ Brooker Wait married? With who?
"It's snowing on mount fuji."
Coffee beans from ColUmbia
Norm cardist confirmed!
Ogikubo sounds like the main character of a kids' anime.
5:50 actually, as a linguist I have to disagree! 'I'm' may be two words but it's only one syllable. So if it's really the number of syllables that counts, Norm's line should be okay.
Norm's a melon guy huh?
Do I sense chemistry between the two?
I think on a friendship-level definitely, they present really well together, its like a smooth conversation with them bouncing off each other. I dont think theres romantic vibes if thats what you mean though, and doesnt emma have a bf?

They look so similar could be related. Love it but those clocks would annoy me
¥2 billion to live in Ogikubo 🤔 well alright then
Norm's shirt is way too tight
I knew Norm was a melon guy.
So true, they say a few minutes but it's actually around 20 to 25 minutes from Shinjuku.
I'm so tired of Norm videos. Bring back Natasha!
Definitely worth a visit but I missed more in depth info, just showing the pretty felt superficial and the conversation was.. Eh too staged. Also the girls thirsting after Norm, he has a family and a kid, have a bit of decorum.
Hope they sack that Tokyo Lens guy. He's no good.
