And yet that leadoff runner for pink was next to last, she even got beat off the start line by girls who didn't have blocks. Hard to believe they only had 2 good runners (2 and4), that they wasted the gains of #2 at handoff area and were still victorious .
I’m upset about them not moving them up when the runners switch positions. Greater Houston was thrown off with the second to the third leg exchange. She moved up but the official made her go back. Which made her second leg partner run longer and over more.
hello guys ! I am 2nd leg .It was not on purpose that I messed up the leg 🤨.I saw my 3rd leg move and after that I couldn’t see her and I was confused so just wanted to say I did catch up the team 🧘🏾♀️,but I didn’t see my teammate and our coach didn’t teach us abt it 🧏🏽♀️.

I loved running the 400! I won every time. I triple lettered my freshman and sophomore year in high school. It is a full sprint around that track. These young ladies poured their hearts out for their teams.
For those unfamiliar with track, the official prevented the winning team from being disqualified. Outgoing runners are placed based on where the incoming teammate is at the 200m mark (which was 6th/7th place). The 2nd leg runner should've been looking for her teammate while closing in. The 3rd leg shouldve known to stay where she was placed. They could've won by more if they were coached a little better... with better race plans/strategies.
Exactly, someone needs to teach them the rules/etiquette of a 4x400m relay. I know they are kids but they need to learn from now. They wasted a lot of energy and time on legs 2 and 3. The anchor did a great job and as you said they would have won by more.
@@gabbggabbg3211 This is all coaching. They're probably used to being in the lead and running how they want. Their coach should prepare them for different situations.
Just curious, is this a recent thing? I ran track 4x400s/4x800s for 8 years and I don't remember ever not being able to move around based on order coming towards the line. First I heard about it was this Olympics when the mentioned it during the mixed 4x4

beautiful race, so happy to see all of that effort. Congratulations .. Are they ever fast at 12? wow, only about 1 minute for 400 meters. good job coach
She had the opportunity to start the season with nothing and end the season as a instrumental part of AAU Silver Medalist team. She didn’t blow that. Plus, she got the opportunity to gain something to learn from and build on, very early on. That alone is worth more than the Silver. All the kudos to that entire Greater Houston team. I admire anybody that can run the 400. I did the 100 and 200, but that 400 beat the living daylights out of me, just a different skill set.
The final stretch of the 400 😳...bring a ambulance 🚑 & a medic 🤣
@stonedog23 Tell Me About It! I Did 100, 200, 300 hurdles, , But That 400, Was Just Beyond Me
@@reasonableperson399 🤣😂🤣
same, I can run 100-200s all day but I can barely run a 400 at a decent pace.
the 400 is a hard race.

The anchor for Greater Houston put in work to bring home the win.
So did 2nd leg she got them from last to 3rd

I think it’s so funny how they just come by and get the patons lol great job though runners!
She ran a good race!
Good job to all the runners
Awesome job
Honoring her name, 57 seconds and fought hard till the end
I like the team names, great running ladies
I’m so glad they won. They did not line them up correctly for that last exchange!!
GH in the convo
The anchor leg was jogging until being passed b/f 😫 starting to run. What a blown opportunity.

Go ahead greater Houston with ur flo jo uniforms
The Official almost sabotaged it with sliding the third exchange for GH way over
Saw that
Why did the official move the 2nd leg ruined they hand off. -_-

Fantastic!!!!
5709 is afire time she ran amazing
Different land masses but one group of runners
That baby ran her butt off!!!
57 sec by a 12 year old female...that is insane! that's better than the time I ran in 8th grade
I wish I could have ran track but it took me to long to heal from basketball
love my people.....
haha Jamerican! cute
GH!!!
Kayla Nicole got a twin.I thought that was her In the thumbnail
The Pink Team should be called. . . . . . . . The FLO JOs
Girl number 3, she will be a athlete, the rest were there to showcase her skills.
Why I thought that was Kayla Nicole on the thumbnail 😂
Bruh the race organizers kept messing up the hand offs too, they should be adjusting based on who is coming in
The official messed up the placement for the team in pink with the long hair. Glad they ended up winning
I would smacked this competition with ease 🤷♀️
Where were her teammates at the end to bear hug her and congratulate what she just did?
Damn! that girl got Stamina for days..
🇬🇩❤️🇯🇲🇺🇸
All the girls in pink are fast, they had to come back
Why the official did that? That's really messed up.

🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
She had the track and field ancestors running with her for that comeback. Flo Jo style.
Good
I'm on that team but not in the age group
I once run to the bus
Danggggg
Because the 3rd leg messed up so anchor leg had to mop up
Lane 8 second leg.. 1:43
She doesn't want to be on the 4x400 team. Take her off. That was embarrassing.
I said the exact same thing. That job was horrible and her face said I don't want to do this
At 2:41 what the heck was that official doing? He forced that pink squad to lose their place. 🙄
I noticed that too
Those are awkward baton exchanges. Don’t seem equal.
WTH was the officiator doing not knowing how to line the girls up
'Jamerica" ?
Those names
I couldn't break 60 until 8th grade, she would have smoked me at 12.
Day all did well
Thats bad of the official because when you get first you can go to line 1or 2 to take the Baton but he put her in line 5 !!!! Wrong !!!!
👍👍👍❤❤❤
Dude moved girl in pink for what???? Her teammate was right there
