I’m from Yorkshire England. Big fan of your channel Nick. I actually use to represent my high school in the triple and high jump and the county of North Yorkshire in both triple and high jump. Aged 14 I ranked 2nd in the entire UK winning silver at the national counties meet for high jump. After school I competed for Richmond and Zetland Harriors at many of the British counties championship events in the early to mid 2000’s and won a fair few medals including 3 Golds making me one of the top high jumpers in GB. My PB is 2.23m! I had realistic dreams of making Team GB for the Beijing olympics in 08 until Germaine Mason switched from Jamaican to GB and started dominating everyone here back in 06. He’d beat my PB by 5-10cm on a bad day for him so my dreams ended there and then. If he hadn’t made the switch we could have met in Beijing!! Anyway I would have loved to cross the pond and taken part in one of your videos especially a high jump one. Not so easy though as I’m 38 years old with bills and mortgage to pay and struggle to book time off from work at such short notice. Hopefully our paths will cross one day as I’m a big fan of your channel. If you ever decide to cross the pond yourself and make a video in the UK I guarantee I’d be there. Much love Nick and all the guys and gals that take part in your videos. Keep them coming and keep on running bro.
Hey, DeMari here! Just wanted to give a thank you to Nick for letting me sneak in late! I really wasnt expecting the field to be that stacked. I also had not trained at all after state which was 2 weeks prior to this. My PR's from state are 21.76 in the 200, and 10.75 in the 100. Being able to compete with someone at such a high level is a big pleasure!
