It didn't surprise me when he said that he was a 400 -800 meter runner after seeing his kick. 800 meter runners are the Swiss Army knife of a track team. I've seen them run everything from a 3K to the short sprints and perform well.
never run in competition(other than school stuff) was just a basketball player... before i got injured i could literally run full out 2 laps(400m each) take a breather and then do it again, so then i was kinda clueless how people get tired and stuff :D after doing nothing for a year i finally understood how it is to be a mortal(funny that i did a 3k after i was given a green light from doctors and somehow ended up in top15 but was literally begging for air) thats when my gym years started
Tamron snatched her soul out….. and she did it so effortlessly, Tam you’re The Goat… and the 400m men race winner did it in trainers! Kudos to Jason! It pays to be fit!
They are so much fun because they add action to the back of the race, an area that typically no one pays attention to. And indoor is the best because twice the amount of laps!!!
Big shoutouts to Luke!! Yesterday he won the 300m at the Ocean Breeze Elite Invitational by 0.02 with a big dip at the line, I was lucky enough to be on the mic for it!
Omg dude I wish I could be there. This vibe makes me smile all the time! Thanks to you I got motivated and now trying to combide my workout guides with the fun challenges but man you are taking it to the next level. Best wishes from Ukraine
Try doing the tag track laps on physical 100 or just an episode themed on a few of their challenges was so interesting. And I know you would do a good job recreating.
We were so excited to see you! First time at an indoor track and inspiring for the kids to see so many fast and enthusiastic runners. Hoping next time maybe a kids race for fun for the little ones not quite old enough to run an 800m if you happen to come back to NY! :D
Elimination races are my favourite type of sporting event to watch, it doesn’t have to be running either. I will watch any kind of racing elimination style. The hype is just unmatched
My kids are running the Maine state indoor track meet tomorrow. Between the 2 they are competing in the 4x800m, the 800m (1:57), the 1 mile(4:23 & 4:46) and the 2 mile (10:28) . Go Babydoodles!
Watching your videos makes me want to pick up running again but I haven't ran in 16 years since my high school days. I've been so inactive for those 16 years and packed on quite a few pounds. How would you recommend I start back up?
There was 2 races where I thought the leader had an unassailable lead and then they were reeled back. I'm not sure if the last lap of the women's race was more impressive or the 3 guys sprinting the last 100 of the mile.
Next time you are in new york and doing shorter distance sprints, jumps or a multi event competition let me know!! I used to compete on that track in college
This is so weird to watch because I’ve completed at ocean breeze a couple of times. Everything is familiar. I’m not a fan of ocean breeze due to it being a 2 hour bus ride from NJ to NY. Great video!
How long are you in New York?! My team is going to ocean breeze this weekend for our conference meet on Sunday! I won’t be there unfortunately cause I’m redshirting, but if you’re still in New York you should go cheer for Roberts Wesleyan!

“I love indoor track” Nick that’s a lie 😭 you’ve said how much you disliked it 🫶
It was pretty epic
@@markcullen2870 I LOVE it as a spectator! Hate running it lol :D
You should join them and add a bounty for the one who eliminates you :)
@@nicksymmonds totally fair 😂

100%!!!!
It’s because 800 meter runners have the speed to run sprints, and they have the mental toughness to run long, and fast. Love the 800, it’s so fun!
he does run pretty much everything my coach can put him in 4x8 4x4

I'd say that about 400 runners
the 400m in trainers was pretty impressive and that final lap in the mile was epic!

Hey Nick! You made motivated me to run a 5:12 mile as a freshman !! Thanks so much
WELL DONE!!
Dam, that’s exactly one minute faster than my pr. Ima freshman too
@@DevourerRich you’ll get there eventually!! Im currently injured but I should be back in a few days to run to try to break 5
@@DevourerRich my mile is actually 5:12 but idk why i accidentally put 4:47
When I was a kid and freshman in 1990 we didn’t have RUclips or Nick, and I ran 4:56.
This was a fun one, I can’t believe how fast they slayed that mile, unreal running!

Great video Nick. Love seeing kids my age push each other. Looking forward to next week too 👍
As someone who is primarily a thrower, and only started distance this cross country season, these videos really motivate me.
Another great video, Nick. These young runners all make me feel old (same age as you!) but also inspire me to go out and run.
Man, I love track and field. Nick, your commentary always makes the races even more compelling and NBC needs to bring you on as an announcer.
Try doing the tag track laps on physical 100 or just an episode themed on a few of their challenges was so interesting. And I know you would do a good job recreating.
Yes that would be so good
I really love this channel ❤

Hi I love your video's @@nicksymmonds
best finish of the channel. Kid called his shot and emulated the goat with a sit and kick!
This was soo fun to watch! Loved it! That mile was great!
Ocean Breeze is easily one of my favorite indoor track sites. Always feel I run better there.
Elimination races are my favourite type of sporting event to watch, it doesn’t have to be running either. I will watch any kind of racing elimination style. The hype is just unmatched
Loved that Dexter decided to run these events instead of his other profession.
Love this channel honestly been watching it a lot lately
I love these races so much I really look up to u and u inspire me to run against people!
Nick we love this channel. This keeps the sport interesting.
He called winning it. Stuck to his word, great race and video nick!
Give him a breather before interviewing him next time, Nick! 😂

I need to start coming to these, I go 2:02 in the 800, and I’m at the fastest I’ve ever been, consistently going sub 2:40 in the 1000
Me too, I want to go to these. I run 2:09 800 and 54 400
2:45 in 1000 for me
