Well now see what you did, I'm going to have to find a dealer. Wish the one in Robertsdale, Alabama wouldn't have closed. I want one of these and a cabbed 4707 so bad I can taste it. First of the year I'm going to begin the hunt. Tractor first so I can get my pasture up to snuff and I may let first years hay pay to fence the property. Life long dream of becoming a farmer is getting closer and closer...

I’ve got one of the 75th anniversary series one and less than 1,500 bales the bearings in the gearbox are shot. This does not seem right. Anyone else have this issue? And not a Massey baler dealer within 80 miles of me now.

D series doesn’t have tension springs. It uses the hydraulics to control tension

So is there any difference between the 1745 and 1745d

Thanks for your question, Jimmy! The main difference is the new Drop & Go system. On the 1745, like many economy round balers, you stop the PTO before dropping each bale. The 1745D allows you to leave the PTO running, like our premium 2900 and RB Series, as you drop the bale.
