Awesome vid in some spectacular country!
The high country is the real star mate it makes it easy to make a video 😂
That looked like way too much fun. Cheers Steve
It was such good fun mate!! Even though it was just the 1 night it was a cracker trip! Cheers for watching bud
Good trip 👍 going from woods Point to Jamieson would have been just as much fun climbing
Great area up there so many good tracks 👌
Your killing me guys! I just want to load up and chase tracks up the high country right now. Just a little over a month too go and I'm up there hopefully🤙
It's the best here mate very lucky it's close ish to home for us. Where do you intend to head
@@4x4brothers Dargo to licola then over to Woods point ending in Walhalla. Planned it for 3 days so should be a good trip
Awesome footage. We drove lazarini spur in October last year, had such a blast going up those hills. Might have to copy you on the pie warmer lol
Lazarini is great for the pinstripes hey. The travel buddy is a game changer mate. Everything from pies to a roast in them
@@4x4brothers by pinstripes do you mean scratches from the overgrowth? It didn't seem so bad when we did it, as it is in your video. I think that there aren't many people that go up there at this time of year especially with the lockdown etc. We got lucky with fallen trees, next time I will definitely bring the chainsaw just in case.
Good watch fellas, I’ve been doing this for years. Love seeing the touring vids on YT, keep it up and respect the Bush. The rigs are bonza, I’m still bashing in my 1HZ troopy but wouldn’t mind a shot in those rigs you have.
Cheers for watching mate and glad you enjoyed it. We are loving our cars and how they have all come together. Do love a troopy though
Good to see you lads back out there. Where the hell can I get one of those beer fists!?
Haha how good are they. Just got it off catch of the day 😂
@@4x4brothers catch of the day, or bargain of the century ! awesome idea for the cold nights
And looks bloody funny 😂
@@4x4brothers I didn't want to comment on all your wrist workout through lockdown. but now that you mention it ;) quite veiny :P
Haha yeah it held a few beers while we were stuck at home that's for sure
What was that first track up hill you blokes drove in the morning?
Great vid
Thanks for sharing
Cheers for watching mate. That was the track out of that camp-site it's a great hill with some rain on it
You would want to be sure that the rain wasn't going to cause flash flooding in there I reckon.
My brother and bil want to take me up through there at some point but looking a bit unlikely for a while now with what's going on.
We're in SA so getting to Vic is looking like a bit of an issue for the time being, well at least getting back out is.
Good to see you guys able to get out and about again.
Sorry Mate just seen this. Have you got a chance to get over here to the high country yet. You will love it.
When camping down near rivers definitely always good to know weather forecast and even just for being able to get back across river systems
@@4x4brothers All good mate.
Nah basically have hardly left the house and given the continuing lockdowns etc it isn't looking too likely for a while yet.
We were going to go to the Grampians in springtime but that is also looking like it won't get up for various reasons.
Might end up going down South along the coast here in SA instead.
Thanks for the reply.
@@oldbloke204 hopefully next year might be the year for you mate to get over. The coast of south Oz looks amazing so that will be a great trip too
@@4x4brothers Yeah just got to play it by ear and people have far bigger problems than mine so all good.
We went to Robe a while back which was great and this time I want to get back to the Deep Creek Conservation park for a bit.
Used to go fishing at blowhole creek when I was much much younger with guys I used to work and would like to get back while with I still can.
Take care.
Dave, is yours a full King Brown system, with headers? Sounds great! I've only got a cat back and it does not sound like yours!
Haha yeah mate I've got the headders too Definatly does open it up alot compared to the standard ones
Awesome vid fellas, wish I could get out there too. Just want to know if you boys know for sure what the largest tyre I can fit to the standard rim on a series 4 y62, was told 295/70/18 but wasn't 100%. Can you guys help me figure this out? Cheers
Cheers for watching mate. Yep that's it a few boys we go with run the 295 on standard no drama which is 34.3 you need to go +20 or +18 to go bigger
@@4x4brothers awesome, thanks for the reply.
In the 10 or so years iv been heading to the high country still yet to camp out that way 🙄
There is so many cracking camp sites along the rivers out there. Put it on your list mate
Love it guys!! do you recon webber spur is doable with 32s ? thanks
Cheers for watching mate. 100% doable it's quite a easy drive it's got some offshoots that are the fun. Rest is quite straight forward. The blue nav only has 32s on
@@4x4brothers roger that mate, keen to check it out this weekend
thanks
@@gazzzaa9590 let us know how you go
@@4x4brothers did the white nav with black maxtrax have Wildpeak M/T's? Were they 33'S?
@@TassieTroutGuy yeah sure are mate
What brand tub rack is on the Navara?
Gday mate its a bit of a prototype made by trailmax
Nice an sloppy
Hope you enjoyed it mate cheers for watching
Great footage especially of the 4WD sections. Not sure about everyone else but I found the music a bit annoying. Would’ve preferred a commentary.
Cheers mate. Yeah it's a hard balance as there is so many different opinions about what and how people like a video to be. We take onboard everyone's comments and keep trying to improve.
4x4 Brothers I think you guys are doing a great job
I think people are there for the four wheel driving and if you choose a particular type of music you can alienate the people who don’t like that music. I actually don’t mind that kind of music but it wasn’t what I wanted to be listening to while I was watching that
thanks for your reply anyway
I just turned it down but I thought it would’ve been nice to have a calm description of what you were doing when you are driving over that terrain rather than the doof doof beat
Yeah fair point mate cheers for the feedback and we will try some new methods in our next trip video. 🍻
Nice but turn the music off.
Thanks for watching mate, we are doing our best to try find that balance of music and video
Guys, genuinely do like watching the content. But for effs sake will you stop advertising secluded camp sights. Let people that know how to read maps (like yourselves) find these and those that already know actually enjoy them. High country exploring use to be a mystery, unfortunately that’s becoming a thing of the past.
That's a fair comment mate.
There is plenty of places that we go that we don't give out the location.
Just to keep some of that mystery and for people to enjoy the hunt. But that one was very obvious where it was so just gave it up.
