Known DK since he was studying in Indian school in Kuwait in the mid 90s and his father KK did everything possible to prepare him for his future. Played against him in school cricket in Hubara grounds in Ahmadi. No one ever thought he would play for India as he was as talented as any of us schoolboys and improved later on when he shifted to India. His dad made all the difference in his life. I disagree with the “more time” part. Everybody knows that a ball delivered at 150 will reach any batsman in the same time. What we mean is how hurried the batsman is while trying to react to the ball. Rohit rarely looks hurried, even if the bowler is bowling at 150. It’s the same with Messi, he just has so much time to make decisions, the defenders can’t cope up.
That being said, it’s also understandable why he himself would say that there’s no such thing as extra time because he knows the concentration and effort behind the scenes

Exactly! In the first innings of 2nd test match against England where Rohit made 83 he pulled Mark Wood off his front foot towards square of the wicket to a ball bowled at 150 kmph. Not every batsman can do that. Even if he doesn't agree, he definitely has that extra fraction of a second!
