Taking From the Couch Program Nationally

Announcement 📣 Today was a HUGE day.
We always thought this should be a national program to fight obesity and its dark shadows of diabetes and depression.
Recently with our clinical partners Total Healthcare, and Tamaki health we developed a business model which can do that, and launched the joint venture between us. Today we signed the contract to make it official.
To deliver we will level up what our BBM whanau do with our own specialist training and work with partners with the same goals wherever they are.
We will bring From The Couch wherever it is needed. Based on the same practices and principles. We will continue to need government funding as other healthcare services do, though private money can also be part of it.
No compromises as well as no excuses, no judgements. It was great to have Meg and Harriet from Te Whatu Ora here with us today at the launch, but with this robust corporate structure and demonstrated results we expect other agencies will also wish to do the right thing by their communities and work with us.
A massive thank you to Lloyd, the Tamaki Health board, Mark, Kate , the Total healthcare team and board, all of my amazing team, and everyone at BBM. This is the future of health. Community, clinical and social support, backed by a PHO and government.
