    Got the 42" last week and I gotta say, having never gamed on an OLED, I am just utterly blown away with how good the picture quality is. The vibrant colors, the inky dark blacks, the sheer sharpness of the screen. 1440p looks really good on it too. Playing something like Doom Eternal on my RTX 3090 at 4K HDR 120Hz maxed out settings is a sight to behold.
    If you're thinking about getting a 4K OLED, get the C2!

      I myself have a Ryzen 3950x + RTX 3090 computer which I do some casual gaming at 4k at between 100-120fps on first person shooters like Apex Legends and Battlefield 2042. The currently LG AI thinQ only refresh at 60hz with 12ms latency. I also do a lot of photo and video post editing and having a nice 4k 120hz TV rather than a monitor fits the bill for me since I do bit of everything with it. I looking forward to the Super Bowl TV sales.

    Bought mine as a (early) xmas present 2 weeks ago. Was looking originally at the C1 as they were a lot cheaper than the C2 but c2 price has come down and C1 increased so the difference at time of writing isnt that much.
    Finally bit the bullet and got the 77" C2 from costco of all places for £2650. I was scared that come black friday it would come down more than that and I should have waited. At time of writing that hasn't proven to be the case. I think the 65" is the sweet spot in the range and on a VFM scale is the one to go for space permitting.
    My last tv was the (60") pioneer kuro 600a plasma. Weighed as much as an elephant but with fantastic picture quality. Even when I, after much trepidation hit the buy button on the C2 I was asking myself if I have done the right thing.
    The answer is a resounding yes. As you say it really comes to life with 4k content and at night but overall its delivers a fantastic picture.
    I used your picture settings btw but tweaked them a bit to suit my taste.
    Even my wife who doesn't get excited by tv picture quality couldn't get over how bright and naturally colourful the picture is.
    If anyone is on the fence about getting one. Just do it. Its one amazing tv.

    Bought this model today online from John Lewis for £999. It’s being delivered in a week’s time and I’m so excited for it. I have been using a Panasonic Viera plasma for gaming the last 11 years and it is still going and looks fab for a 1080p set. Now I have a PS5 it felt time to upgrade to 4K and I wanted something which at least matched the sharpness and good black levels of my Panny. I enjoyed this review and it seems very informative.

      Stephen, I'd really appreciate your input. I've also been a long time Panasonic Viera owner and am now looking to upgrade to the LG OLED48C2. How have you found the brightness on your 48 inch LG OLED? I understand that the LG OLED C2's 55 inch and above are 20% brighter than the 42 and 48 inch models. Some reviewers have also raised concerns at the brightness of the 42 & 48 inch models.
      My lounge isn't that bright, but I don't want to buy the LG model and be disappointed with the screen brightness. The alternative TV I'm looking at is the Samsung QE50QN90B

    I have been using the 55” version for a week. I agree that the picture quality is probably the best I’ve seen. I love watching blu-rays on it as cable tv does not do it justice. Comparing with a Sony Bravia XR A80K 65” though, I dislike the LG remote and webOS interface. I ended up having to use an Apple TV 4K because my cable provider’s app is only supported on Google TV and Apple TV. Using Google TV makes for a much simpler experience as more apps are supported. This is a big deal for me but since it is not my primary TV, it’s ok. Furthermore the sound quality is poorer than I expected. Thin and anemic like most thin flat screens so I had to fork out for a Sonos Beam. Vastly better! Sony on the other hand has truly revolutionary sound and I didn’t feel the need to buy a sound bar for my A80K which was unexpected. Given the shortcomings above, If I hadn’t gotten such a great deal I think the Sony is the champion in its class.

    I got this 48" C2 for £799 at John Lewis - at that price it seemed rude not to buy it :) I found your channel because I couldn't work out how to put the stand together as I hate those picture-based instructions that actually don't help at all in my opinion. Thankfully after watching your unboxing, the ranting and swearing stopped and I was able to get it sorted.
    The TV only arrived yesterday so I've not had much time to play with it but I'm happy with it so far. It replaces my 13 year old plasma (42 inch) so the first thing I noticed was the colours are so much more punchier and the sound is also a lot better

    Great reviews. (LG C2 55") I found your review and advice on settings for this LG C2 a great help as well. The Pink issue -- I purchased my LG C2 at Costco. First thing I noticed was the Pink, almost Red tinting -- terrible. Watching AGT, and the pink+ and red facials were about as annoying as you could get. I was ready to repack it back to Costco -- great 90 return -- but found your presentation and followed your set up settings -- way better. So, I have 88 days to return it. I will follow your channel, thanks, just what I needed. I have another LG i paid less than half what I paid for this one -- an LED and it has a really good picture too, but about 5 years old (my excuse for updating), but I am not a gamer, and personally, I do not see double my money on this, yet. One thing stands out, for me, a casual, news all day kinda watcher, and that is the Sound. The sound on this C2 is fantastic (I am not an audiophile either). The older LG we had to have the words up (CC) and we were constantly asking each other, "What did he say?" -- not with this C2. Best speakers and sound we have ever had on any TV, love it. Two days in and that is it for now. Thanks for being there for novices like me. Peace, Dan

    • @TheReviewFella
      @TheReviewFella  2 года назад

      I've not tested the S95B, but the C2 has been awesome. I'd really like it in a larger size such as 65 or 77 inch. Rtings.com do a good side by side comparison of those two TVs. On the S95B they say colours are brighter, skin tones look better, and it can display a wider colour gamut with HDR content. They say the LG C2 has better black levels, it also supports Dolby Vision and has a slightly more accurate HDR experience. Not much to split them I'm afraid but I'm mighty happy with the C2.

      Upscaling is very good, no issues at all, but I don’t have Sky, only Virgin Media. So UHD content I watch through apps. I can’t really pick any faults with the C2 at all. It’s a bright, vibrant TV which seems to always deliver a great picture, regardless of the source. They also got rid of that pesky pink tint that plagued my C1. So screen uniformity is excellent too. Unlikely this will go up in price imo, already able to get one [65"] recently, new, for £1430 with a 5 year warranty too. True what you say about the price to an extend, but I think you're underestimating the gargantuan scale of the decimation of the buying power of millions of people I the UK, foodbank use is up 300% in a town near me, so the demand, imo, simply isn't going to be there for extremely luxurious purchases like a posh TV that cost 4 or 5x what budget models do. If they want to shift them they need to keep prices close to the bone to appeal to any sort of reasonably sized market.

    • @TheReviewFella
      @TheReviewFella  Год назад

      It’s supply and demand. The more demand, the more expensive they’ll be. When demand declines, the price starts to drop. Which then might increase demand. Either way the C2 will be obsolete soon, and the new generation of LG OLEDs will appear early next year. Thanks for your comment.

      Hi. Yes see my video for the best LG C2 picture settings (link below). Cable/Sky HD looks very good but this TV really comes to life with 4K and HDR content: ruclips.net/video/dfyMJ5x75qs/видео.html

    I’m between the c2 and the Samsung qn90b. The burn-in risk on the c2 is the only thing holding me back. Any feedback?

      More risk of image retention on the LG, but I think the risk is very small if you watch mixed content. I have the C1 and C2 and have no problems at all and they’re used every day.

    How is this tv in a bright room? I’m going to buy this weekend but I’m still not sure if it’s worth it

      It’s really fine. Plenty bright enough.
