Side note for 9:25, the Temtem discord has lots of people who are stuck genderlocked and are willing to trade tems to avoid having to rebreed everything.
Worth noting you do not HAVE to use a perfect stat'd temtem for egg move passing if the temtem is particularly difficult to obtain (example: Male Ocearas), egg moves can be passed using a female Speed SV temtem of the desired species + male compatible with imperfect stats as this will result in a 6 fertility speed temtem with the egg move that you can then proceed to pass along
Evochron Aight, thx ^^. But what do you mean by that male Ocearas is hard to obtain? I was searching for a female oceara and didn’t Get her after i had 22 male ocearas. It's a bit complex and grindy. I like it. Breeding a monster with perfect stats should be a hassle and will keep the pro players engaged with countless things to do.
This may be a dumb af question, but do you catch wild TemTem until you catch one that has, for example, 50sv Atk and 50sv spatk? Or do you catch one of each and breed them with the strands to get the base tem?
So if I do not need ATK (because it will only use special moves) I can just leave it out and save money / time? Same for STA? 7SV is more a prestige thing, isn't it?
Yes, you can. That's perfectly fine! However, its still not advisable, and here is why; Say for example you decided to breed Vulffy's, but ended up with a bunch of Male 5 SV tems (or 4 SV, in your case) that you couldnt do anything with because you had bad RNG and just got a lot of males. You would then be able to use the surplus male vulffys to breed other things that share common typing later, such as Seismunch, Cerneaf or Nidrasil if you got genderlocked the other way... Except because you decided to neglect the attack stat, you cant.
it's a perfect SV tem at 3 fertility; you can further breed and then sell off the additional offspring if you breed through to 0 fertility on the other breed throughs. This is infact one of the more efficient ways that isn't as susceptible to genderlock.
What is the time frame of this ideal situation to make a perfect sv tem? At what point in the game should you start breeding for perfects tems? How do you get the initial perfect sv in a tem?
You have all the time in the world at this point. There is only so much content that's out for people to experience, so once you reach the "end game" go ahead and start working on your breeding projects. Don't stress about getting to them any time before that!
