I was at FedEx for a few years as a package handler, packages did this stuff literally everyday haha. That's why everyday, the managers would walk the belts at the end of the shift to make sure everything has gotten into the trucks!

There was a Praying mantis in my backyard on the stairs, and I'd take close-up pictures of it, and each day the mantis would be in a different position, and I gave water to it since it was hot outside. The mantis came closer to me and was with me the entire summer, and it stayed on my back door.
One day when I went to check on my friend, the mantis, I noticed it was lifeless, so I went to see if it was alive, and sadly, it died.
I just kept thinking about how beautiful and vibrant the color was and how its big black shiny eyes had no life, and it made me sad. I actually cried for the mantis. :(

Those “looping fireworks” are in fact gliders with lights and fireworks. They are based in south west England and I got them to fly for my sons birthday :).
Thanks for commenting that! I was so curious about how they worked, and I've flown sailplanes/gliders a couple of times before, so it's awesome to learn that this is a thing!

Biloxi, Mississippi, Keesler AFB, fall 1969, we got a hurricane warning, packed up to shelter in all concrete classroom buildings. I was out on the fire escape watching with others as the hurricane showed at the horizon. Then out of nowhere, a bolt of lightning struck the wooden barracks next to us and the entire front of the barracks started wobbling and fell forward to the ground. it was like a giant saw cut all the nails holding it on were cut. They had to move people out and take the barracks down. We never left for the classrooms as the storm took a turn, and eventually hit land in Florida. I was used to Earthquakes in California, but not hurricanes and what they brought. And yes, after that lightning strike, we moved back into the middle of our barracks.

The fireworks toward the end of the video are actually being shot from a jet-powered glider! I’ve seen the man who owns the glider multiple times at various different air shows and it’s absolutely incredible. He has sparklers on the tips of his wings and the tail of the plane, and then the fireworks shoot off to make it look like a dragon in the sky!

I had lightning strike in my small back yard years ago. Every hair stood up just before the strike and OMG was it powerful.
I was walking along Carson Beach in south Boston and right when I was passing a small tree, a bolt hit the tree 5 feet next to me, I happened to be looking right at the spot, my body instinctively bent over away from the bright white blast, it was like someone fired a shotgun right in my face, I got hot with bark and blinded for a few seconds, it was life altering, the sound was so loud, I feel very lucky that the tree took the direct hit, instead of me. Good luck🙏

I was playing games with a friend one day, we hold our conversation with a simple cellphone, when suddenly, a lightning struck in our village. The game had a massive lag spike and I was like "Dude, have you heard that lightning? My games lagging as hell!". No response came, because the phone couldn't reach my friend either. When we had WiFi once again, we literally talked about this for 10 minutes while playing games again.
