Great video, I also practice fishing in the Mediterranean (30-120m deep), I recently bought a Lowrance HDS 7 gen2 sounder and I don't know which transducer is right for me .I ask you (if you have an idea) if the Lowrance 50/200 HDI transducer is enormously superb than the Airmar p66 , because I have a chance of this last one and I don't want to miss it.

    Hello Sir
I purchased airmar dual frequency echosounder, it is EchoRange series. I have a problem when tested it in medium, long, and ultra long depth, especially in an enveloped data.
So I develope a software to plot the envelope data, and when I test the echosounder with my software, there is a " blank spot" along the envelope data plot when I test it in depth above 10 meter .
But when I test it between 0 to 10 meter, the data plot is smooth and there is no a "blank spot".
I have consulted this issue with airmar team by email, but still don't have a sollution yet.
    Thank you

Does it matter what side of the boat your tilted element are mounted so long as the forward indication is correct? Does the unit "know" down when powered up? (in my case SS175C-20-M-0 & SS175C-20-HW-0 ) I am about to mount these and this "minor detail" did not occur to me until now that I have the units.

The arrow on the tilted element transducer needs to point to the keel (center line) of the boat, not forward. It does not matter which side it is on as long as the arrow is pointing to the keel. If you have more questions please don't hesitate to call our Tech Support team at 1-800-543-6326. Thanks!

First time I cleaned my airmar smart tri-phase sensor , I was very nervous . The stop flap worked well and there was very little water bubbling up . Also when I swapped the blanking plug to place the sensor back in. Now I just swapped the device for a blanking plug again - there was such a gush of water up above the bilge to over the floor . This time I also noticed the device ticking non stop - which I didn’t notice the first 2 times .These two different happenings are a concern . Can you comment please ?
