God that looks like just about the most fun you could have in a car, and it's such a simple machine, such a simple concept. Combining this with an S2000 engine would be heaven
@@kCI251 I agree with you. As a owner myself, I've never felt the need for anymore then the 130 hp it came with. It's about the driving experience not the speed or power.
Douglas Hamner every obd1 system I've come across either has a screw on the ecu or you use a paperclip to jump two pins together. It doesn't get any simpler than that. Obd1 has VERY basic diagnostic abilities, as in it can tell you which system is having a problem and that's it, there's nothing more a fancy scan tool can tell you. Half the time they wouldn't even detect a problem. They ran primarily off of the maf, tps, and crank angle sensors. You can unplug almost everything else and it'll still run. They're extremely simple computers, nothing like the ones in modern vehicles that learn, make adjustments, and control 100 other functions. Their function was to run the engine, that's it. With all that being said, i absolutely love obd1 cars for their simplicity and unobtrusive computers. The only time you'd see a warning light is when there is a serious problem, otherwise it left you alone and kept chugging along.
@@okami3405I bought a new car ( addition to my Miata) this year all the electronics drive me crazy! I always need to push the button @ if not on all stop engine goes to sleep then restart i dont like this!😮💨
What an epic car. The only car I know made me feel like Moss or Fangio.... all while nearly under the speed limit....A car that encouraged errands. Because you got to drive it.
It doesn't accelerate too bad for the year it is. I see it runs on higher octane and has an exhaust. I'm trying to figure out what year I wanna get. I'm looking for a Miata spring next year hopefully.
This momo start seat is actually really comfortable. I drive it without a bottom cushion but with a back cushion. Taken it on 3-4 hour drives without issue.
I was worried it'd suck some of the fun out of the car, but it's made it so much better and more enjoyable to drive. It's nuts now (once the tires warm up) lol. It's begging for 250whp though...but as it sits now it's a blast.
Is there any other way to rev match like you do with heel and toe technique? My diesel car's pedals do not allow me to heel and toe :( i want to learn this technique so bad
In my both cars it's impossible as well. I simply press the clutch, change gear/blip the throttle. But I usually only downshift to third because I can't really brake doing that.
Who doesn't love miatas?
Chris Harris.

My mom
Rob Ferreti aka Mr.Spaghetti
Me, but I'll still get one

Or imagine putting a Subaru engine! Would keep the center of gravity lower.
If you drive it right, the stock motor is plenty.
@@kCI251 I can assure you it's not. 250hp would be t o p n o t c h

It's nice to see a raw car without all that computer shit.

This is why as an young adult I get older cars because I can’t stand technology in a car🗿

This is the safest bet in all of car culture. That thing looks like a ton of fun.
Best POV video I ve ever seen for any car. Keep coming back again and again to watch.
Damn that sounds nice!
Tight pants + jumping in the car = agility of a squirrel
wow you are flying at corners
Have to admit - this car sounds awesome! Thanks for sharing
What a pleasurable video to watch. These roadsters are awesome!
Challenge accepted Amos! I will not use a door in my WRM POV any longer
Doors are overrated!
THANK YOU. Seriously!!! Im missing my Miata for a year now, its been in the garage of a friend whos repairing it for me. This made me drool
I miss driving my miata so much when watching this! Its in winter storage now
This engine and wind... Music to my ears.
Love the ride. Picking up my '97 in six days, super clean and bone stock except for the rims. The exhaust note is perfection.

One of the best looking cars ever
Wow thats a nice sound

me binge watching miata videos while i save up for one
That was me last year. Now I have it. And still watch videos when I am away from the car.
What an epic car. The only car I know made me feel like Moss or Fangio.... all while nearly under the speed limit....A car that encouraged errands. Because you got to drive it.
The car looks brand new!
Man this car sounds amazing dude, you just convinced me to get one for a daily.
I am already nostalgic of my car like yours it is in storage for the winter! 😢 It is crazy loving a car like this 😅 I love the sound mine is quiet!

Perfectly set up naturally aspirated Miata.

What exhaust do you have on the car?? Sounds great
im 20 years old and i own a 1996 miata unreal😂
0:26 niko bellic confirmed
I like cars that are low to the ground (Not StanceNation low). I tend to see the road better and make better judgemental calls
I was once in the mindset of "i will never own a miata" and then my friend bought one with a welded diff, im currently looking to buy one
Miata
i want a miata! when i go to college in 3 years, ill be the cool kid !
This is so freaking cool! Haha, got to love a Miata!
this is my best car
Love the car, hate driving it on the highway.
Sounds good!!
I always love miatas
I wish I had a Mazda miata😊
That is amazing. I need one in my life. I want it to be noisy like this beast.

Hello I'm portuguese, this car has a welsome sound ! I like of this video bro
Love the videos. What mic setup are you using for these?
this vidoes would be perfect with Midnight by Cold play in the backround
Is that at least Chris himself driving?
It's the 1.6 or 1.8 engine?
Emanuel Stefan 1.8
Daaaaamn
What size are the tires and how much fender modification was needed for that wheel setup?
I will buy one when i groun up...in..5 years
3 years to go
What exhaust is this?
if some alien asks me what porn is, id show him this video
Accelerating at curve road is awesome lol u seems like a racer?
Hey, I saw a test drive vid of a red 1996 Miata. Is this in Michigan?
This is a great car and I really want one with that same color scheme but in a 1996. Would be really fun! Maybe even swap in a Subaru engine!
This vibration at 3k rpm drives me nuts...
Bro knows how to drive
What exhaust?
flippy headlights for the win
What exhaust are you using?
Which exhaust system you rocking ?
How is the cabin sound with the hood down? Does it leak-in much air noise?
Do you use a go pro with the head strap mount??? When I try using my GoPro hero 7 it’s not framed as well as your vids are
Do you think someone who is 6'4 would fit in one!!
the car fast is it a 1.6L or 1,8L
Mr Patato 1.8
It is not fast
How do you like that momo seat for around town?
This momo start seat is actually really comfortable. I drive it without a bottom cushion but with a back cushion. Taken it on 3-4 hour drives without issue.
I had a 1994 black Miata like this but am not a fan of the black bars you installed at all.
if you put x2 on, thats how fast new jersey people drive
So with the tires, does that make the car more fun or less fun? You can argue both ways is why I'm asking.

what is the tire size?
1.8 stock motor?
I'll end up buying one, it's just hard to find them.
You just have to find the right old man...
2:34 was sketch!
what do you mean
The Answer is always Miata
Well at least all the letters are there....
That is music.
*Don't coast up to lights in neutral, you're just using the brakes unnecessarily.*
What tires?
Is there any other way to rev match like you do with heel and toe technique? My diesel car's pedals do not allow me to heel and toe :( i want to learn this technique so bad

tPATRICKPL yeah, not being able to brake sucks. Can never get the feeling of it
my foot doesnt allow me to heel & toe..
i need one
Hmm. Can't seem to find this exhaust for then nb. Anyone help?
Anyone know if this dude is running a lightened flywheel or some shit? His car revs up way faster than mine
The second I turn 16 I’m buying one I already have the money I just need the license
Can you do a q50 rs
How much hp she makin?
