    Thank you Jessica! This was very encouraging. I haven't had a period in four months- post pill. Definitely nice to know I'm not the only one struggling with this. Focusing on supplements and nutrition and trying to be patient with my body

      You’re not alone in this!! I’m planning a new video of my hormone test results but I’m still trying to balance myself as well ❤️

    I needed this video so much.
    I started the mini pill at age 14 ( no body told be about the effects this does to your body - absolute hell )
    Fast forward to age 22 and I had had enough of feeling crappy all the time so I quit taking the pill.
    Since stopping the pill I have had the worst hormonal acne, one withdrawl bleed and no periods in 4 months.
    As a women the lack of periods can be very stressful ( I am not ready for children ). I wish there was more education out there 💗

    Thank you for sharing this! I just found your channel because I was looking for someone who is dealing with the same thing as me - not getting the regular cycle back. I stopped with the pill in February and got two small periods after that but since May I have not got my period back. Definitely a topic that should be spoken more about and I wish that I had been educated about this earlier. Thinking of trying magnesium before I go on a check-up!

      I highly recommend getting blood tests done by your doc!! I will 1000% be doing an updated video about hormones in the coming few months as I’m still on my journey and have gotten lots of testing done since this video 🙂

    i watched all these girls who got their period back, but most of them were underweight or overly exercise. While me myself, i am more on the heavier side on the BMI scale (170cm with 73kg), i only do light yoga twice a week, but i do eat so little (i do one meal a day fasting, and maybe only eat less than 1000 cal per day). I always have trouble with losing weight, i always eat less and less but my weight fluctuates easily. Yo-yo weight. Until suddenly i lost my period for 2 months now.. Do you think bigger girl like me also have to gain some more weight? or actually i have to lose more weigh to reach a healthier BMI?

      @@devinasamantha I hear that 1000 calories is too little that your organism can be so stressed that it can start stopping periods and you may have a hair fell, because it’s just not enough energy to maintain all the processes, also if you have too few fats in your diet this may also cause the failure of loosing a weight, you need to review your diet and maybe talk to the doctor who writes diets, but loosing period is a red flag that current one doesn’t work

      @@devinasamantha Hi! From what you are mentioning it seems like to may have PCOS - search online for it! It is super common (many women including myself have it). You don’t have appetite, you bloat a lot, gain weight and/or flutuate easily in weight, find difficulty in loosing weight, etc etc. the best suggestion I would give you is to go to your ginecologist and do some tests! I am now learning how to deal with this and there are many many ways!

    Thanks for the useful tips! I’m getting off depo, should be wearing off in a couple weeks. My sister suggested I start taking magnesium now because it seemed to help her get her hormones back on track after getting off birth control, so I’ve been taking magnesium, zinc, d3, for a little over a week now, hoping those supplements will help me get my hormones back on track after being on birth control since I was about 17, so 13 years

      @TheJessTayls  Год назад +2

      I completely cut out HIIT and heavy strength training. What I consider heavy is 75%+ my body weight in additional weight to lift. I hope to make an updated video soon dedicated to hormones, as a lot of things have changed since this video and I am still trying to gain a normal cycle!!! Spoiler alert- I got back into exercising more (zone 2-4 training 3-5x a week) and have started to lose some of the weight gain I experienced the past 2 years and eating more calories and protein. Also, I cut out alcohol COMPLETELY.
