The thing i absolutely love about manually retrying the auto battles, is that all the battles you fight are interesting and atleast have a little threat.
I feel like, realistically, the enemy's morale should instantly break upon loading into a battlefield opposite 15 Umbral Tyrants. This was a really fun playthrough! I love how you commit to The Aesthetic and what seems fun over trying to hyper-optimize. That's what I prefer to watch, as awe-inspiring a super optimized strategy can be, and it's not like you don't also make good choices within what seems fun. You made this game look super tempting.
I dont know what it is, but i just really enjoy Potato playing AoW. Every game i've seen him play so far feels different and the latest DLCs improved the game quite a lot. Maybe we can see some primal game as well since he didnt show the culture in a video / live stream yet.
This shadow/chaos combo is kinda crazy, where you just get ever more damage against units with debuff statuses, and then you can just go back and cherry pick tomes for more debuff unit transformations. I do like this game because there are so many synergies, and you can make so many varieties of an OP build.
I would love to see another series with this game! I love your AoW4 content, and the new stuff they've added is a ton of fun. A playthrough of you messing with the reworked mystic culture would be awesome!
Maybe a good way to upgrade outposts a bit is to be able to link them to a city so food production and draft go to the city with some penalty for distance and limit total number per city then there can be upgrades or research that reduces the loss and increases the distance. Maybe push it so far that it's possible to viably do a one city build with lots of outposts.
Loved the playthrough! Would love to see you play a build with tome of Evolution. Slither hatchings are my favorite unit in game when it comes to aesthetics. Altho if they are pretty powerful with mighty meek (from tome of the beacon)
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE play an unknown realm where the traits are random on brutal. I think watching you trying to figure out how to win would be so interesting.
i think that is specific to that map since the whole point of it is getting the hell out of there, but you can become friends with them on non-story realms
You need to befriend the NPCs in the Umbral Rift and can than recruit them during a rallye from them. Befriending them requires you to be evil - and it only works on custom maps (they are war locked in the campaign maps).
This game totally sucks balls man. You make it seem so easy but I can barely win on easy mode in the story mode. This game totally cheats, they are fielding 4+ full stacks of high experienced units on turn 40 and just keep steamrolling me, not to mention their allies fielding 5-6+ stacks later one with just one city. Allies are worthless except for recourses because all they do is sit in base. This game just pisses me off. Yeah yeah I know, still issue but the AI isn't using any skill i tell you that.
Please keep AoW4 in the rotation of games you play regularly on the channel.
I'd love to see another Gun culture playthrough
@@michaelfriede7693 can you tell me the name of the first gun play through? :)
@@sanity5923 He didn’t finish it, it’s in his live stream video section. The golem update

I'm glad you played that last battle, seeing the umbral tyrants in action is the reason I clicked into the video.
Potato: "I have SO MANY fingers in the chamber"
MAY THIS QUOTE NEVER BE FORGOTTEN

Yeah, ok, after this 10h gameplay I'm playing the game
I'll admit, I didn't think Potato would actually go all in on the umbral tyrants. Absolute mad lad.

I love this game, love to see more of it. I like the idea of taking a unit type like archers and just getting tomes to max them out
I love watching you play this game, you always make it look so amazing. Can't wait to see more of it in the future!
That auto-resolve with those tyrants at the 1:00:02 mark was sick.
Bought this game due to this play through. Love ya Mctato Pot of Whiskey
You got me into this game! I just finished my first magic win. It's a little overwhelming how everyone declares war on you at the end lol

I think he did a run like that back when dragons were first released. It’s old but it’s still a fun watch
Huge debuff builds are always a good time
holy shit, my sleepy brain at 2:30 am though the plushie at the start was a baby, was so happy and confused for a few seconds

Playlist order for this series is messed up (3, 2, 1, 4). Please fix it.
Umbral Tyrant looks like Xel'naga from Starcraft 2
Big tyrant, big happy!
Really enjoyed this. I now own Age of Wonders 4.. thanks bud(:
Hey just so you know your playlist for this series is backwards i think. It played this video first for me
Thanks for the playthrough!
I'm so glad I waited until today to watch ep3, now I don't have to wait for this one! >:D
I've been playing the new mini-Campaign, you can't become friends with Tyrant's as far as I can tell, this just breaks my mind lol
i think that is specific to that map since the whole point of it is getting the hell out of there, but you can become friends with them on non-story realms
Please do more AOW4 series
Please an AoW4 over explained series!
are you able to turn off specific victory conditions?
yes, you can pick which ones you want
Wow, that’s an amazing army !!!
How did you do it ?
How do you actually recruit damn Umbral Tyrant?
Nice.
How are you getting the tyrants?
