I always figured Diablo Cody wanted to twist the idea of the social outcast and the preppy popular one being diametrically opposed to each other and have them be best friends instead
The humor is so late-'00s. This was coming off the heels of early-to-mid-'00s quirky indie flicks like The Station Agent and Garden State and late-'00s Judd Apatow comedies... and it really shows.
I forgot how much I loved this movie. I remeber randomly seeing it when hit theaters too. They don't make movies like this anymore. Dialouge was awsome.
One of my fav scenes is when her dad says to her little step sister during dinner “if you put one more bako on that potato im going to kick your little monkey butt” and she just gives a smile.
This movie was great! I remember my mom having this on DVD when I was I think 6. I watched it with my sibling for the first time last year. The dialogue is funny and original and I love it for that. Also this movie made me realize how transmasc Elliot feels to me even though he's just playing a character and this was WAAAY before he came out.
@@tiascott02 omg im so stupid i forgot he transitioned from a girl to a boy i though it was reverse im so stupid lol im not transphobic i swear i’m just stupid and i forgot lol. one of my best friends is trans that’s my bad
Hi, how ya doing hope you're well, anyway, can someone help me, in the scene where Mark and Juno are playing guitar when just after Juno uses the bathroom they go to Marks guitar room and Vanessa hears then from downstairs and she goes and gets them because they've got stuff to sort out, what song are Juno and Mark playing I can't find it ANYWHERE Edit: it's this scene 1:57
You forgot this line from Juno herself (or maybe himself, who knows): "I don't really know what kind of girl I am". It's seems like a foreshadowing of what Elliot Page would be in the future (I know that this line probably was in the script all along and Page maybe didn't improvised, but it's still funny).
Well, I walked into the city elevator and conceal carry clearance showed up mechanically, and they fell to the ground, like a magnet held there body to the marble slabs. It was weird. I knew this as a young child. But as a early 20 adult said, I'll process this later
i love how juno, this loner hippie type character, is best friends w a cheerleader lol
I know same

Sounds like the kind of friendship that happens in kindergarten
“Im just going to go to women now, just because they help out women nowwww” 😂
"did you hear juno maguff is pregnant? like our moms and teachers"
"yeah"
"did you hear it's yours?"
"yep"
"man, what a trip"
"she smells like soup" always kills me
“My mom uses Color safe bleach” “go Carol” my favourite 2 lines in the movie 😂🤣
i dont get that one 😭
@@gubernatorial14 It's a reference to laundry detergent!
It's been 16 years and I still genuinely answer the phone with "yo yo yiggedy yo"
I literally just sent someone this video so they could know what I'm talking about when I say yo yo yiggidy yo LOL
Move on.
"Can you just hold on a second, I'm on my hamburger phone"
Juno is literally Ellie from another dimension
They actually used her face on Ellie in her older version

One of my favorites! XD

Juno’s stepmother Brenda killed me throughout the film 🤣💀
Well, she IS played by Alison Janney, so yeah, of course she's funny!
There was a girl in my high school who saw this movie junior year and started talking like Juno until we graduated 😂
i just watched it lol IM DOIN IT!
the way i quote all of these iconic lines in my daily life is amazing 😌🤝
slayed me too😍
I always wanted one of those burger phones!
Sameeee
You left out the best part
"Who´s the father?”
"Pauly Bleeker."
"Pauly Bleeker? - I didn´t think he had it in him."
“I love Woody Allen!” absolutely kills me.
I bet that joke goes over a lot of peoples head, I love that they slipped it in there
OML I LOVE JUNOS PHONE SKKDKFKR
this movie is too iconic
This is just the entire movie condensed into 3 minutes
"All I see is pork swords"😂😂 gets me everytime! 😂😂
I loved her father!
I now regularly greet people with “yo yo yo giddy yo!” It’s great
“Go Carol” and “Fooket Thailand” is my favourite

So many good lines. Thank you! ^^
i got whiplash when i saw rainn wilson was in this movie

Juno's friend is hot.
The fact that they used to hook up IRL while making this movie makes my imagination run wild!
I remember these lines were insufferable on the very first viewing. Tryng so hard. Very high school. (The writer, not the characters.)

omg juno is Ellie
Yes used her/his face actually
So clever!
Disaster movie nailed this
Elliot Page is adorable i cant- 😭
Ellen was adorable, back then. "Elliot" is sad and creepy with severe mental delusions.
This is years before she even fathomed becoming trans. deadnaming is a bs term. You can't retroactively change yourself.
or James-o as she now insists it's pronounced
The Morgan Freeman list is the best in the movie, imo.
Today paulie bleeker alias michael cera 35 years
draaaaain gang
i wish you had included "it's vanessa, right?"
The dialogue in this movie sounded like it was written by a boomer.
But it's also written in a nice way that it isn't cringey
It was a gen X-er I think
Zaddyy 👍🏿😩
Elliot is lucky he will never experience this

Yeah, I can see now why she would become a guy.
Because Elliot more often-than-not played tomboy characters (before his transition)?
That’s so sexist. She’s literally just a butch lesbian with trauma.
