    I literally cannot grow a Golden Pothos in soil. But I've had one THRIVING in a vase of water for YEARS! Seriously the BEST decision I made, too! Though I do have a Marble Queen growing on a moss pole, and she LOVES it!

      It's a great way to grow Pothos. Mine has been in water for about a year and I'm so happy he is feeling much better now. Growing Pothos in water is so rewarding! 💚 I haven't tried to add a moss pole to my Pothos in soil but I think I will do that too! 🏡🙏✨

      Do you have any tips? Mine keep rotting in water even in bright light and changing water :( the bottoms are black and mushy.

      @@lb9549 I wish I could help! Did you let the cut ends dry before you put them in water?

      @ If you already have some mushy brown roots, cut them off and wash the healthy roots under running water.
      When the root system is healthy change the water once in two weeks, always clean the vase when you change the water. Don’t submerge all the root system in water and always check the roots when you have the chance and cut off unhealthy ones. I also add a diluted amount of liquid fertilizer once in a while (really small amount!)
      Hope this helps 🏡🌿🫶🏻

    I also water my plants in the shower...usually. I agree that it really helps keep pests under control. Once showered, I use a watering can with fertilizer water to top off.

    • @GreenLifebyAlishka

      That's exactly what I do! Shower and if it's time for some fertilizer, I add some with a watering can! It has worked really good for me and my plants 💚🪴✨

      @@GreenLifebyAlishkawhy with a watering can? Can it not be added to the water in the vase directly? Sorry for all the questions. I’m a beginner

    • @GreenLifebyAlishka
      @GreenLifebyAlishka  2 дня назад

      @@sindu3It’s ok! I love answering questions and helping new plants parents. Always feel free to ask me questions!
      I think we are talking about different things. If you’re asking about a cutting, it’s not a problem to add fertilizer directly into the vase. But then you should add a drop or two of the fertilizer. It’s also ok to dilute the fertilizer in a watering can and then add to the vase. Don’t overdo with the fertilizer! Add small amount once a month in the growing season or in every season if the plant continues to grow new leaves.
      Hope this helps 🫶🏻🏡

    How do you shower your plants? Take it out of the vase and hose it down? Or take it to the bathtub?

    If you take out the whole plant to clean the vessel, isn’t it hard to put back in because of all the roots, especially since your bottle opening is narrow?
