I have a high stress job in a hospital (no, I'm not a nurse) and the thing that calms me and makes me so happy are my house plants and outdoor gardening, and I am not ashamed to admit that I tell my plants OFTEN how beautiful they are and how much I love them! Oh, just a suggestion, would you consider doing a video on plants that you think are a bit of work but well worth it? Like Calatheas! I only have 1 of those because she is a DRAMA QUEEN and doesn't care who knows it! Anyway, thanks for sharing!
Hi Ashley, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!. We miss you so much in Charlotte! Our loss is Michigans’ gain!🤣. Loved this video , as always. Every time I watch one of your videos I get energized to give my plants extra care. It’s fun to fall in love with them all over again or maybe it’s just being reminded of how much I adore them. 🥰. Thank you for this and for all that you do to make your channel so enjoyable to watch! 👌🪴🥰
Great content, again, Ashley. I love Philodendrons. Could you do a video on their care in regards to their climbing needs and also how to 'rescue' ones that outgrow their totem pole? Thank you for sharing your plants & knowledge, and especially your shopping trips. I am in Australia and love watching your videos.
Plants that need self watering containers versus those that don’t. That’s what I’m thinking of these days. As well hoyas that need chunky versus more moisture rich soil. Trying to understand all this. Your personality is always so warm and open and I’m amazed at your knowledge of all these plant names. Thank you for your rich content of my shared plant passion. I’m in Canada and love when you go into big box stores we have here that I recognize.
I love your video. I have a ric rac cactus that I had for years. I put it outside during the spring and summer. The new growth still sprouted skinny fronds. It as never flowered but it grows constantly
I love your videos! It’s like hanging out with a friend at their house and getting a tour of their inside garden. You have great advice and I’m always curious about how long you’ve had your plants.
You’re my favorite there’s no shame in the game of box store. I’m in a small town. Our nurseries are all basically for landscaping. Gimme all the inside ones!
Really lovely seeing you back in your plant room. It reminds me a little bit of your old plant room. I like the wooden effect on the white wall. Also love seeing Claire in the videos too she is so adorable 🥰 always makes me smile and laugh.
I was looking at North Carolina as a place to get out of the Michigan weather although Michigan is a beautiful state I really can’t imagine anyone willingly moving here. I hope you enjoy living here, we moved here approximately 40 years ago due to a job transfer and now I’m hoping to move closer to my Daughter in Virginia. Living so close to Lake Michigan we get weeks / months of no sun in the winter months, I guess some people can handle that me not so much anymore. You have a beautiful plant collection and I’m sorry some didn’t take the move very well. I’m going to have to check out Jonkers one of these days and see if they have added anything new to their selection of plants. Have a great day ! ❄️⛄️🎄💚🙃
Wow what a move! I move 3 years ago from Minnesota to Texas. I love it and am so thankful to be shovel free. I hope you are adjusting well. Maybe one day you could share your moving experience. Have a Merry Christmas!!❤
I love your plantroom ! I wish I had one as well ! Did you show those beautiful windows you mentioned ? I would love to see your whole room set up. I will eventually set up my plantroom in my basement like Jeff from Everything plants but I could still get ideas from yours.
My silver dollar plant is deteriorating. It is on my do not rebuy list. My warscwiczii philodendron I got at Home Depot for $9.00 a few months ago- I love it. I also love the lime green plants. They make me happy.
I’m not supposed to buy more plants! 😂. Now I NEED the silver dollar 🥰. We’re moving states in a few months and I am supposed to be downsizing instead of adding to 😅.
Happy Holidays Ashley I'm really lookING forward to some debuging of mealy, mites, scales and what is eating my leaves In single Row ? Im so confused about it. Also How many plants did you lose I hope it wasn't alot can you give light on How you packed everyone I'm Moving this coming spring back to my Beloved Michigan. I'm so scared to move them well be safe. Sending Peace and Happiness for the new year❤❤😊😊🎉
Ashley - what are your thoughts on this: putting a plank in with an orchid?? With your encouragement, I finally purchased two orchids. Since Phalaenopsis Orchids naturally grow on trees, I was thinking of putting a 12-inch tall wood plank in the orchid pot (when I replant them in the future using RePotMe pots.). I would be using the plank so the aerial roots can attach to it like a tree; and not for vertical growth like pothos. And I would add the plank at the back of the pot, in with the RePotMe orchid bark mix. Side Note: I'm annoyed the care instructions state: "Water with 3 ice cubes once a week." That's the care tag from a professional grower who sells to big box stores. SMH
It will also lose leaf size I think. You might cut the entire top piece and put in soil with a plastic bag over it for a few weeks. That worked well for my White and pink princesses and /R. tetrasperma tops.
@ I think air layering with clear wrap or a clear plastic pot and sphagnum moss is the best way. Without roots a cutting with so many leaves would drop them.
Quasimodo, lol! Wasn't that the hunchback of Notre Dame? So your begonia has a hunchback shape too. 😅🤣 I've got my P. gloriosum climbing a pole. Not easy but it's doing it! Wish I could show you.
When did you move to Michigan? We have just moved to North Carolina from New York. I love your videos and watch them all the time. Good luck to you in Michigan. Happy holidays.

You wouldn't happen to be a respiratory therapist would you? (From an RT who regularly has to say 'no, I'm not your nurse' 😂)
@@ejones4127 😂 no, I'm a Transfer Coordinator, I transfer the critically ill in and out of the hospital

Thanks for sharing your beautiful plants. You mentioned a systemic. What do you use? for the first time ever I have pests, mealies.
TQ for sharing ❣️ loved what you did show🦋 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 🎉
Air layer the philodendron splendid. If you stick it in water it may drop many leaves before it can grow roots to sustain them.
