My older brother was friends of the family over 20 years back and we had a good few times back at one or 2 of the sisters houses for late drinks years ago in Blackpool. I remember sat there one night back at Maureen's I think and all of the sisters were there together and there brother Tommy when suddenly the girls in their slippers got up and performed I'm in the mood for dancing slightly merry🤣 it was a funny sight for sure.Nice people.

What a voice she had and a great actress, it was very sad , in 2010 I was told I had breast cancer it’s an awful time and treatments are hard but I’m still here to tell the tale and are very thankful , I was in my 40’s when diagnosed, Bernie is missed she had such a beautiful personality.

I seen Bernie staring in Chicago the stage musical in Dublin, August 2012. I was really struck just how strong her voice was but most of all what struck me was her obvious joy at being on the big stage in her home town Dublin. She passed not long after that performance.

@@alipeacock3685 Of course. I respect your opinion. i had read about there being a lot of rivalry and jealousy among the sisters, especially towards Bernie who was always the more successful of them. She actually hired Colleen at one time to do her cleaning LOL that was obviously before Loose Women.

I had a nice encounter with this lady. I was at the time working my Saturday night shift in a dive of a bar in Manchester . ' Are you a Nolan Sister '? I enquired through all the noise. ' She's THE Nolan sister ' said a tall fella in her group of company . There followed a really nice chat with a gracious and engaging lady . Maybe I regret mentioning I preferred the original version of an ABBA song they covered .it just came out and it seemed to disappoint her . Anyway, thanks for the chat Bernie and I hope you are okay in the great beyond !

Whenever we visited Blackpool during the summer we always went to see the Nolans perform usually at the ABC theatre . Fabulous shows they were Uber talented. I may have liked Elton John, David Bowie and Joni Mitchell at the time but the Nolans were my guilty pleasure and will always be a source of such happy memories.

She was my favourite Nolan sister. I had breast cancer myself aged 34 back in 2005. I’m now the age Berni was passing.😢 xx
