I made these tarts for a dog parents group lunch. First, the tart dough - fantastic. It rolled like a dream, shaped nicely in my sandbakel tins; then the almond filling - GREAT idea to toast the almond flour and tasted rich but not cloying. I’m a big follower/fan of Beatrice Ojakangas and you are right in that league - Thank you! The tarts were a huge hit and fun to make.
I just googled Beatrice Ojakangas as I didn’t recognize the name. Turns out I actually have one of her cookbooks and she is major goals!! I can only hope that I will have the opportunity to write 30 cookbooks over the span of my career
You're a breath of fresh air, my dear, and remind me of my own daughter, both beautiful and similar mannerisms. Wish I had your patience...lining those tins and glazing those puppies...but helas, I don't! Loved watching how they're made though! Happy fika!

Faktiskt det har varit länge sen jag ätit en riktig god mazarin i Stockholm. De på Lillebrors är bra men har ingen glasyr och för mig det är bästa delen. Lindeberg Bageri hade väldigt bra mazariner men jag har inte varit där i typ 5 år. Jag bara baka de mig själv nu förtiden haha

The tarts look amazing! There was a Swedish bakery in my town that made them. They always put a maraschino cherry on top.
