  • In this video, we FINALLY give you a complete walkthrough of our DIY teardrop camper trailer. We have made plenty of upgrades to our newer builds and will have those videos out soon!
    Sifting through hours and hours of old video trying to get it all organized and came across this gem. It’s from over a year ago and we just never posted it. We were still very afraid of talking to a camera. Not much has changed!
    Anyways, here is the awkward tour of our teardrop camper with Paige. Enjoy!
    Ask all the questions you have in the comments below! Looking forward to chatting with you.

    Can't wait for the video on how you did the wiring!

    Very interesting, I love that you have essentially replicated an escapod with many of their features, just so much more affordable! I’d be interested to know how that toilet seat helps when in the woods… typically they are attached to toilets lol

    • @WanderTears
      @WanderTears  3 года назад +3

      You attach the toilet seat to a 5 gallon bucket with a poo bag in it. Its fantastic haha

    Watched your build video, and now this one. Obviously, a great deal of thought went into the design. You guys are INSPIRING!

      Yes! It took us about 6 months of research, planning and designing. And we have still improved our design a lot since then. Thank you!

    I'm interested in knowing where to get that, "Side Table Mount" ?
    I just found your channel. Do you show it in the build videos ?
    I watched one other video, first and didn't see it. I really like your trailer.

    • @WanderTears
      @WanderTears  2 года назад

      Yeah actually search “side table mount bracket” in Amazon. RecPro and Vintage Technologies sells them. Thanks!

    What an amazingly simple and elegant teardrop. Congrats on the build and budding business. Have been to your website and suggest you might want to include an About/Location link. That way people can figure out how far they might need to go to pick up a camper.

    Great build. One of the best designs I have seen.
    Does the bed fold up into a couch?
    How big is the in floor storage? How did you build it?

    • @WanderTears
      @WanderTears  3 года назад

      Thank you! The bed does fold up and it has a hidden convertible table underneath. The storage underneath is sealed plywood sitting in a steel frame welded to the trailer. We actually don’t use it for storage, just a foot well when sitting on the couch. Makes it feel like you’re sitting up a bit higher.

    EXCELLENT ! Two people that can get it done. One question: How many hours labor for the build?

    • @WanderTears
      @WanderTears  3 года назад

      Thank you! Not sure the exact hours but We built it over 4 months, mostly weekends and free time. Are you looking to build one?

      @@WanderTears No... I need to. Hopefully this Spring... I don't have an inside work space so winters in Wyoming not the time to start it.

    What was your technique for cutting the angled ovals for your cabinetry? Thanks!

    • @WanderTears
      @WanderTears  2 года назад +1

      For all the cabinets you can basically draw a square and then use a small paint can or cup to create the radius in each corner. Then use a jigsaw to carefully cut them out.

    How hard would it be to add a roof rack to this build? Would it even work?

    • @WanderTears
      @WanderTears  3 года назад

      It would be pretty simple to add a roof rack. We added one to another build we completed for a customer. You can either bolt through the wall or attach on top of the roof using standard roof rack hardware.

    Why do you need such a big/expensive battery, maybe i`m missing something but what`s it powering?

    • @WanderTears
      @WanderTears  2 года назад

      It powers LED lights, vent fan, charges batteries for phone/iPad and cameras. You could use half the battery we have in it and be fine but this one allows us to be off grid for weeks without a charge.
