The reason is, that he sings it in Brettonian! In France, where the minorities were largely suppressed and even their mere existence denied, speaking in another language than French was already frowned upon as separatism. Now Alan Stivell was known, or at least largely thought to be, a Pan-Celtic and a Brettonian nationalist. +Marc Guilherm Quand on faisait les foins ,les marmoused distribuaient du cidre aux participants ,dans le même verre dont chacun versait le reste ,de l'autre côté de la bouche mais personne n'a été malade après ,quand le gwin ruz l'a remplacé ,ce ne fut pas un progrès ,tous étaient bourrés plus vite ..amzer tremenet ,siwazh..
