he has FX car. This is the height of simplicity. Despite earning 175,000, he does not own a latest or big car, and how satisfied he was with his life style. His discussion indicates, he is not a materialistic person. He opposed that plot scheme and didn't avail this option; truly an example for the youth.
And if you read his Wikipedia page, you will find out how high his level is as a scientist and as a professor. He studied at the famous MIT for nine years, taught in foreign universities, won foreign awards, but still he doesn't care about material wealth. His passion is purely science, and the welfare of the public through it.
I think that the youth today has ample examples to follow and they should not follow a person who openly calls himself liberal and secular. He also has hardcore atheistic views without reason rationality and philosophy. The Pakistani youth should not take him as an example to follow.

This guy could have moved very easily to any where in West and could have lived a much better life. But hatts off to this guy who preferred to stay in Pakistan and serve his homeland. Really impressive.

Ideally, his thoughts on nukes are correct, if applied to india also. Pakistan has already proposed the subcontinent to be a nukes free zone a number of times as an official policy.

I knew Pervez Hoodbhoy in Karachi Grammar, a brilliant student with an exceptionally high IQ. Too bad he decided to stay in Pakistan with little or no opportunity for scientific research and no respect for talent. Only if he had stay abroad after MIT and perhaps progressed Dr Abdus Salam's work, he himself had the potential to be a Nobel laureate! Since the Islamists showed up the country went to the dogs and, BTW, they hate him for his progressive views. Sad story, such a wasted talent.
