    It didn’t burn. The Kevlar are just the woven fibres that are bound in an epoxy which will bubble and burn when heated.

  • @loganweber7488
    @loganweber7488 3 года назад +4

    Kevlar/aramid fibers are extremely flexible. This case starts off as a fabric, and it is the raw fabric that has most of the properties such as being flame resistant. In order to make a case, it is baked with an epoxy style resin to make it rigid. That is what was burning and bubbling under the flame, not the fibers themselves.

      The Latercase is essentially a $4 case from China -- an imitation of the Pitaka case -- rebranded as "Latercase." There are some cases that are exact knockoffs of both cases from Chinese factories (with the same materials and designs) that can be bought in bulk for 80 cents per case. I say "$4 case from China" when I include branding and shipping. Lew turns around and sells them at $50 (with shipping) -- a markup of about 1150%.

    go put a torch on your uag case. see what happens lol. ive daily driven a fold 3 with a latercase on it for going on 3 yrs now. every other case made that phone a chore to carry/use. the latercase has held up fantastically for me. many drops, bangs, etc. phone looks nearly brand new. im a believer. I still prefer a more grippy case on a phone that can handle getting a bit larger. but if you desire the naked feel. they're worth every penny imo.

    I jus ordered one today and i didnt have an option for anyother shipping methods which was fine but when i googled it i seen that ppl had options for next day delivery did they stop offering otherways to ship? Or is it something else? The only reason i went for this case is because i also jus bought the spigen tough armor and the buttons sit flush with the case so i never know which button im pressing when i bought that case i didnt think that would matter as much as it does especially at night when my daughter is sleeping in our bed and im trying to be quiet and i end up pressing the volume up button instead of volume down and i find myself screen shotting all the time also. I just hope this case is better for my needs and doesnt take weeks to deliver. I own a oneplus 7 pro btw i just bought it anyway sorry for the long rant.

    Generally Kevlar or Carbon Fibre is coated with an epoxy so the bubbles that are seen on the phone case after the fire is simply the epoxy reacting with the immense heat. Generally speaking Kevlar is most probably one of the worst materials for a phone case as UV light degrades Kevlar. Choose carbon fibre over Kevlar anyday
